I didn’t get to see mine either, and I barely remember it. My mum tells me I snored like a demon until they were removed.

My daughter wanted to see hers but the ENT said they were “nasty.” LOL!

I awoke sometime in the night after the operation and said, "Daddy, I changed my mind. I don't want my tonsils out."

"Okay," he responded. "Go back to sleep."

Our daughter had hers out when she was 6. Prior to that it was one infection (including strep) over and over. Besides, her speech was so gutteral, and garbled that almost no one could understand her.

The ENT (who is, otherwise, a saint) brought the tonsils around to show me, before sending them to pathology, and I swear, they looked as big as golf balls!

Since they were out, she has be unbelievably healthy, and is now 20. I waited too long, had my own out when I was 17. I thought I was going to die!
