NEWARK, N.J. A member of the New Jersey governor's cabinet has resigned amid a sweeping corruption investigation that has ensnared three mayors, two state legislators and several rabbis.
Speaking Thursday at a news conference, Gov. Jon Corzine said he asked Community Affairs Commissioner Joseph Doria to step down and that Doria agreed to leave office.
Corzine says Doria could not be effective with such a serious investigation going on.
Among the 44 people arrested Thursday were the mayors of Hoboken, Ridgefield and Secaucus.

This story has 32 paragraphs. No where does it mention the word "Democrat". Should I give AP the benefit of the doubt that we just all assume New Jerseys pols are all Democrats?

44 people arrested. News reports mention the 2 Republicans among them. None of them seem to mention ‘Democrat’.

Even the Leftwingtard blogs and discussion boards are upset on this one. Virtually the entire Democrat party was rounded up and that word was never used.
BTW, we now know why Corzine is so very much opposed to ordinary citizens having guns ~ it's because all the government officials in that state are criminals who rightly fear public resistance.

That was going to be my next rhetorical question and it was answered in advance.
I'm sure there will be absolutely no mention of party affiliation in mainstream media coverage.

WSJ names party affiliation. Yes, they do. That's the difference between reporting (WSJ) and covering ass (AP).

News 4 in NY already suggesting Corslime will step down. Knew this was going to come sooner or later. Behind in the polls and find a way to replace the losing Dem. Toricelli all over again.
To: TexasNative2000
Wait, a Corzine cabinet member was arrested too? Yet the local news just spent about seven minutes covering the Republican freshman assemblyman who was arrested.

Doria’s been ‘the man’ in NJ politics for decades.
His office and home were searched by the FBI.
Notice that Corslime made no mention of that fact.
I am assuming that by allowing Doria to resign before any indictment he gets to keep his pension(s).

As a sidenote, with Doria stepping down the food will last much longer at the Cabinet buffets

A person in our neigbhorhood is suppose to be getting appointed to some position by Corzine. I heard the salary is something like 82K.

Doria’s home was searched by the FBI and the IRS.
BEFORE he so graciously offered to resign.
And protect his pension, no doubt.

NJ TV channel showed all of the arrested being taken off buses in handcuffs this morning.
Sickening to learn of some of the offenses.
Bartering a kidney for money? God help us.

Amazing. Been trying to find info on who was arrested. No mention of party affiliation unless it is a Repub. Should we just assume all are Dems unless otherwise specified. Gotta love NJ.
