NATICK, Mass. A white police sergeant who arrested renowned black scholar Henry Louis Gates Jr. said Thursday he's disappointed President Barack Obama said officers acted "stupidly," despite acknowledging he didn't know all the facts.
Sgt. James Crowley responded to Gates' home near Harvard University last week to investigate a report of a burglary and demanded Gates show him identification. Police say Gates at first refused and accused the officer of racism.
Gates was charged with disorderly conduct. The charge was dropped Tuesday, and Gates has since demanded an apology from Crowley.

It’s a shame he still supports Obama “110%”.

The link doesn’t work.
I knew a gal in college who saw a guy trying to break into a Porsche in Chicago. The cop investigated, and found that the man was Walter Payton, who locked his keys in the car. Payton was annoyed, but understood the circumstances and did not raise a stink.

Our current squatter soiling the Whitehouse is such an a-hole its embarrassing.

Obama is really doing wonders for race relations, isn't he?
We’ve seen your race card. Now show us your birth certificate.
The only reason for this being continued in the news is to deflect attention off the pres’s failed policies, and to remind us all that we are really just racists.
If I remember correctly...with Prof. Gates in handcuffs...weren’t there two black officers there as well? If there was anything inappropriate going on I’m sure those two officers would have come to the defense of Prof. Gates. Wouldn’t you assume that??? I certainly would if not...they would be as guilty as the officer being accused of the alleged behaviors.
I am thinking about this whole thing, and the lesson that Gates apparently wants to teach is that the police are inherently racist for stopping a black man apparently breaking into a house. So police should just look the other way if the breaker-in verbally notifies the police he is prominent? Or are the police supposed to carry a handbook with them listing, with photographs, citizens who are so prominent as to be beyond reproach when breaking into houses? How will this play out in neighborhoods where both the homeowners and the breakers-in are black? Will police action depend on the relative prominence of the parties involved? These are troubling questions.
....of course Obama is going to side with the brother...blacks understand racial loyalty...in time, whites will too...we’re about a generation away from race war.
is this cop on drugs
In the article he stated that he supports bozo 110% but is wrong on this.
I know if I was doing my job and then got called stupid and wrong off someone I would not be supporting him at all.
notice how bozo does not respond to black racist at the Philly voting booth and drops charges but he can can comment on this.
bozo is just another race bait er
look at his past comments typical white people
greedy white folk
charges drop against black racist.
states their is a history of racism against blacks and Hispanics.
Well there is also racism against whites too but I guess he is not too bothered about that much like sharpton and Jackson
they make me sick
“Racism” by liberals. Executing a system of racial harrasment against a person of another person.
As usual, all the racism is from the black side. That officer should tell Hussein and the prof to shove it. He should NEVER apologize. He did nothing wrong, except be the victim of a black racist professor and a black racist acting president.
0bama is too arrogant to apologize he will just ignore it until it is no longer a headline.
It looks like Mr. Gates address should be on the do not visit list with the Police. Make that public in the “community” and let him protect himself.
Worse. He's probably a liberal Democrat.
