Wow: Dozens of Democrats lining up against ObamaCare over … abortion ?

The Standard counts no fewer than 53 Dems on record as having problems with the House bill, but so lopsided is the blue majority that the GOP would need to peel off 40 of them to block it. That’s not going to happen on Obama’s signature policy initiative. Assuming their objections are economic in nature, Pelosi will simply shower the fencesitters with legislative goodies until enough of them are willing to choke down ObamaCare.

But what if their objections are based on something more profound than economics?

Democratic Rep. Bart Stupak said he is “optimistic” that his campaign to include explicit language condemning the use of federal funds for abortion in the House health care bill will pass the House Energy and Commerce Committee. The congressman from Michigan did however say on today’s “Washington Unplugged” that the House will likley not vote on the bill before their July 31st deadline.

I definitely think contacting one’s congress critter is a great idea, but lying about my address removes all my credibility. Also, it seems to me that the staffers screening the e-mail will likely recognize the address and bin them.

The father and owners of the chain of abortion clinics was not on the plane but his family and grandkids were. The plane was overloaded. It crashed into a cemetary and hit a monument to babies that had been aborted.

I don’t like having to throw cold water on everybody’s joy over SOME democrats who do not support tax-payer paid abortions - but they probably still support abortion.

Also .. these so-called “blue dogs” will only side with the repubs UNTIL THEY GET WHAT THEY WANT FROM THE PRESIDENT - AND THEN THEY WILL VOTE FOR THIS MONSTER LEGISLATION.

Please - everybody - remind your congress people of this fact and don’t allow them to become excited by the so-called “bi-partisan” show.

Remember - BI-PARTISAN TO A DEMOCRAT MEANS THIS: DO IT THE DEMOCRAT WAY. If we forget this - we will get hoodwinked into supporting these blue dogs when we should be very, very suspicious of them.

Hey, Four Peas. I did a bunch of thinking about the "plausible consistuent address" thing, and I finally came to the conclusion that it is dishonest. The Representative has a legitimate interest in sorting out who's in his district and who isn't. If I circumvent his mail-sorting method, I am actually undermining the whole idea of constituent-representative communication.

Therefore -- whether it "works" or not is irrelevant here---I think I was wrong.

I am not going to use my "plausible constituent adresses." In fact, I am going to destroy the ones I compiled (a couple dozen) which I had stored on my computer.
