If anything doctors are doing less tonsilectomies then they did years ago, even though a child should have them out.
When I had my children they took their tonsils out by the time they were 2-3 yrs old. Now my grandchildren had to suffer until they were almost teens before they were finally taken out. Such huge tonsils they could hardly breath at night and terrible breath.
I never had mine out and I’m in my late 20s.
