First Lady Michelle Obama debuted her new 'do at a White House reception for country music stars Tuesday night. (Charley Pride, Brad Paisley and Alison Krauss and Union Station performed.) She stuck with sideswept bands, but the look is much shorter on the sides and in the back.

She and her daughters shill for J.Crew because the founder of J. Crew Arthur Cinaber gave $10,000 in 2008 to the DNC and the CEO of J. Crew, Millard Drexler, gave $94,400 to various Dem causes in 2008.

It struck me as almost odd that Hillary had gone back to the slicked back behind the ears man-look hairdo for her visit to Asia - not very flattering for someone of her age. I think I understand why now - Michelle has appropriated her haircut!
