Whoopi Questions Moon Landing
July 21, 2009
BEGIN TRANSCRIPT
RUSH: If you've ever had any doubts that the women on The View (snorts) are literally kooks,
we're going to confirm it for you here.
This happened yesterday morning.
It's Whoopi Goldberg, Barbara Walters, and co-host Sherri Shepherd
about Apollo 11 landing on the moon. (Click on video link to the right)
GOLDBERG: I am just saying that there are wonderful --
SHEPHERD: Don't they have a tape?
GOLDBERG: There are wonderful... You know, I love great conspiracy theories.
And these are better than a lot of them, because they say,
WALTERS: Because he touched it supposedly.
GOLDBERG: Yes, but it was
-- was it always in a ripple?
Was it starched in a ripple?
RUSH: Whoopi Goldberg admitting that she doubts the moon landing 40 years ago actually took place because the flag has a ripple in it and there's no wind. There's no air up there so how can that be? Did they starch the ripple in it? In fact, yes! Rather than have it stiff. (laughing) "Poor woman" is right. The problem is, these women weigh in and influence other women on serious stuff. More and more of the mainstream media has just become Kook City.

RUSH: For Whoopi Goldberg, you know, there's no air on the moon.
The moon flag is hung from a horizontal rod, not verticals.
It's the same reason your drapes have ripples in them.
There's no air.
No air flows and so forth.
So they had to spread the flag out, Whoopi,
otherwise you wouldn't be able to tell what it was.
(sigh) Are those...?
Well, never mind.
I was going to ask if they're really women on that show.
They gotta be women.

Had DumbO announced he was giving his press conference this evening from the surface of the moon, Whoopi would have praised him for being a great innovative pioneer.
Now see, here, Mister.
I have a lot of rocks on my property.
Not one of them has ever doubted the moon landing (unlike Miss Whoopie).
Not one of them has ever uttered a racist hateful comment (unlike Miss Whoopie).
Not one of them has ever accused me of having 'white goggles" (unlike Miss Whoopie).
I am offended by your characterization of rocks as dumb in general and similar to Miss Whoopie in particular.
;->
You see, all of the rest of the world has been fooled, except for her and and few fellow believers.
Now the fooled list is long and distinguished so I won't go into it here. But, keep in mind that we were in a race with the Soviets at that time and they were working feverishly on a moon landing of their own. Whoever got to the moon first would pull off a major coup in world opinion. So, if anyone should have been skeptical of the actual landing, it would have been the Soviets. But instead, they responded by canceling their moon landing project.
What Whoppi is telling the rest of dupes is that she is smarter than us, or at least, she has some kind of intuitative power that lets her ferret out the truth.
However, it's been my experience that people who claim to have such abilities are in fact actually less intelligent than others. It seems that the dumber a person is, the more likely they are to think they have some kind of special gift that guides them to the truth.
Seriously....why does anyone talk about the people on that show? It only serves to lend it credibility when it has NONE!
Remember how they said "Contact light" just before the landing? This light was activated by the 1.5-meter probes on the landing feet shown below, signaling them to shut off the descent motor.
I wonder what she thinks about Obama’s Birth Certificate?
Joy Behar. Whoopi occasionally has doubts about Big Gubbmint being the best solution, Joy never.
Part of the answer. The main part is because of the vacumn the rocket exhaust can really expand (the reason the exhaust nozzle is so huge) to a very low density/velocity gas before it hits the surface.
But do any of your rocks have eyebrows?......:)
Now, c'mon, don't confound poor Whoopi with all this scientific babble. It's just science's contrivance so they can sell the notion that we 'really' landed on the moon. Good thing Whoopi and others 'uncover' the conspiracies and share. /sarcasm
BWA HA HA HA. At least Barbara had the good sense to question her on the conspiracy theory stuff. I wonder if Whoopi would actually listen to and try to digest the actual reason the flag waved. Is this really what Barbara thought of with The View? I thought she wanted something more intellectual from her co-hosts.
