This is good vs. evil and probably America's last chance.
And that, as Martha Stewart would say, is a very good thing.
Obama keeps on dropping at this rate, by 2010, he shall have no coattails to keep the House in 2010, and be in single digits by 2012, making it highly unlikely there would be a second term, and maybe even gaining back the Senate then, in addition to the House.
In a sane world, anyway.
But who knows if sufficient numbers of Americans may be considered sane by then.
I am still in favor of breaking what is now the “Untied States of America” into a “Red country” and a “Blue Country”. The nearly contiguous “Red country” would have a number of isolated islands making up the “Blue country” scattered all through its territory.
The emergence of these two entities may come at a terrible price. But the world would be the better for the struggle to have taken place.
If we subtract the African-American support for Obama, which will never, ever change, and the numbers become even starker. 12% of the population, African-Americans voted better than 95% for Obama. Thus, 10% of his vote came from African-Americans and that puts them somewhere between a quarter and a third of his support within the Democratic Party.
Every time Obama's support moves down 100 basis points, it means 110 of the non-African-American electorate is defecting. How many of them are Hispanics?
The more the percentage of Obama support is centered in the African-American demographic, the more it will be recognized as such and the more it will begin to reverse the dynamic in which race put Obama in the White House.
The America people got a big nasty dose of liberalism.
I hope Hussein takes all the liberals down with him.
Fixed it!
A lot of whites who voted for BO because it would mean they were really, really enlightened and politically correct are having a private WTF moment about now. They will not, for the most part, admit it to pollsters yet. His numbers are a lot worse than they appear to be, you can sense it.
On election day: “We’re bringing Hope and Change.”
Six months later: “I Hope things Change.”
Next year, we’ll all be saying: “I Hope I can find some Change in my pockets.”
The numbers are probably worse than they show because more people are switching from the Dems and the polls have not reflected this yet.
This is the time we should start getting worried. As his numbers sink, his adminstration may try to manufacture a crisis and seize more freedoms from Americans in the name of “security”.
I don’t trust this guy at all.
Politicians and strategists praise Patrick Gaspard highly, although he stays away from the limelight.
"Patrick is the best political mind of his generation in New York and maybe the nation," says Kevin Sheekey, who as Michael Bloomberg's right-hand-man has frequently worked and battled with Gaspard.
"I wouldn't dispute that," said David Axelrod, Obama's chief strategist and Gaspard's cohort on the campaign trail. When reminded that such a title could be bestowed on Axelrod himself, the strategist said he was "happy to cede that" to Gaspard.
The Washington Post, among others, has announced that a longtime labor operative of Barack Obama's, Patrick Gaspard, will be named Obama's White House political director.
Gaspard served as national political director for much of Obama's general election campaign and was named deputy director of personnel for the transition effort. Prior to his work with Obama, Gaspard was the lead political operative for the 1199 branch of the Service Employees International Union, a huge and hugely influential union representing health care workers in New York. He spent the 2004 general election as the national field director for America Coming Together.
Gaspard was featured prominently in Ryan Lizza's recent New Yorker piece detailing how Obama won. Of his job interview with the Illinois Senator, Gaspard recalled Obama saying: "I think that I'm a better speechwriter than my speechwriters. I know more about policies on any particular issue than my policy directors. And I'll tell you right now that I'm gonna think I'm a better political director than my political director."
“The president retains substantial and often fierce loyalty among a core group: liberals, union members, and minorities (African Americans, Hispanics, Jews). Many others who are nervous about one policy of the administration or another still want the president to succeed. At the moment, slightly less than a third of the public seems to be strongly in Obamas corner, at least a third firmly opposed, and the middle third breaking about 2 to 1 for the president. This group is the one that can move away from the president, and given the far greater unpopularity of some of Obamas key initiatives than of Obama personally, this could occur sooner rather than later.”
Obamas Fall by the Numbers - July 22, 2009 - by Rich Baehr —> http://pajamasmedia.com/blog/obamas-fall-by-the-numbers/
Interesting, but failed attempt to spin unfavorable news. Give up, media. You helped get a radical marxist elected and now some of the mind-numbed people are realizing what a mistake they made.
I expect a teleprompter reading on prime time in the real near future - to get his numbers up. That won’t work, but all the pundits will be talking about what a great speech it was and how it boosted his numbers. I won’t be watching. Gotta clean out the birdcage.
this idiot’s numbers would be single digets without the media whoring for him. Likewise, Bush’s numbers would have been 50% higher - min - without the relentless 8 year assault and character assassination by thne mediapukes.
I read an article last night about a noted astrologer making comments about Obamas horoscope, he says that Obamas 12th house which was extremely favorable to Obama is now receding and that was what Obama used to have control over people, the 12th house controls dreams and basically Obama had this strong aspect in his chart to use a hypnotic rhetoric.
And now its changed, he does not have the same ability and people will be more awake and will counter him over everything he says now.
