This Marie Antoinette moment took place a month ago, and Karl mentioned it in a post at the time, but the video is definitely worth a revisit. Jane Sturm told Barack Obama that her mother had needed a pacemaker implanted at 100 years of age, but got denied by the first doctor she saw. She found a doctor who would do the surgery, impressed by her spirit. When Sturm asked Obama if her mother would have received a pacemaker under ObamaCare
well, watch for yourself:

I’ve made a paraphrase of that my tagline.
I am guessing if it was your turn you would say,"No thanks, I think I will just die!". Right? Is that what you would say? People should have the choice to either take the surgery or not, the government should not be the final arbiter!
I realize you would rather the government make up your mind but I choose to guide my own fate thank you just the same.
Obama carts out these people who have been “denied health care” and says that’s the reason we should adopt his plan.
But who is to say that under his plan, these people won’t still be denied health care?
It’s a shell game.
...meanwhile the government is fighting a war against the use and prescription of painkillers in hospitals and out.
“Put a little ice on that.”
Bump.
Obama telling people to just die.
Just because I personally would not want a pacemaker after age 100 does NOT mean that I want the government making decisions about my healthcare. I am 100% against this whole govt. healthcare BS.
I was simply making a personal statement about my own thoughts toward prolonging life after age 100.
Yes, there are individuals who have managed to stay active and have been blessed with decent health in their 90’s, but they are a rarity. I’ve seen many, many invalids wasting away in nursing homes. I personally would not want to prolong my life if I was frail and unable to get about. I didn’t read the article, so I don’t know the shape of the person who was 100.
Again, just because I am saying this does NOT mean that I am in favor of govt. healthcare or their plans for euthanasia for us commoners.
I am not a newby or troll. I have been a member here for several years.
Ha!
My new tagline!
Really, well ok if you say so. However, I have a pace maker and I am 67, it came on suddenly, without warning. If some government dipsh** had been in charge I would probably not be alive today. You may not think you would want one at age 100, but until you get there you will never know for sure. Until then I will count you as a troll since you seem to want national health insurance.
My new tagline!
Ha! Got there before ya. Check my in forum...

Are you a member of the medical profession?
Evidently you didn’t read this part-
Just because I personally would not want a pacemaker after age 100 does NOT mean that I want the government making decisions about my healthcare. I am 100% against this whole govt. healthcare BS.
I will count YOU as a TROLL for antagonizing me! :-)
I did read that part but your earlier statements override it. You are a troll, or simply stupid. Take your pick.
Excellent!
This is a must read I tried to post it to a new thread but it didnt work.
Perhaps you could choose to do so Salvation.

Or in Obamacare perhaps shoveling into the crematories.
Or all the invalids who have a zest for life.
My 96 year old grandma was just out in my garden with a hoe, working harder than you know what work is. If she needed a pacemaker, I would pay for it out of my pocket simply because she DESERVES the respect.
Even if she died for other reasons 3 weeks later, I would consider it money well spent.
Would YOU?
Or do you think along the same lines as 0bama (ptui) and recommend she just be quiet, enjoy her memories, and take the painkillers?
May your choices weigh as they should upon your conscience.
