NHS treatment will be available for tens of thousands of failed asylum seekers to ensure their human rights are honoured, it was announced yesterday. At present, they are denied free treatment if an asylum bid has been turned down but they have not left the country. But a Government U-turn means failed applicants who are destitute or cannot return home 'through no fault of their own', will be entitled to free care.

And yes, you are correct about the Blue Dog compromise. All of the compromises they need to ram this monstrosity through won't really slow it down. Once they have the framework in place, they can use administrative actions to change things back at their will. It's the same pattern they've been using for a long time, but for some reason most people don't see how it works.

My response was “We don’t let children in this country go hungry. How about “health stamps” instead of “food stamps?” Or provide basic clinics?
By the whole concept of everyone gets unlimited healthcare as an entitlement is a horrible lie.
We ALREADY have that. Illegal aliens get don't have to pay for health care. Anyone here on asylum does not pay for health care.

Once any framework for socialized medicine is in place, it will be a jumping off point for other social programs as well. That is until the jihadi muslims figure out that they can show up to the emergency rooms a few times a week and bankrupt the system in a matter of a couple of years. Then there will be nothing but civil war which they will exploit to their own ends.
