A vehicle carrying more than two dozen suspected illegal immigrants rolled as it entered onto Highway 92 from Miller Canyon Road south of Sierra Vista, injuring at least 11, a local fire official said.
Ten people were taken to Sierra Vista Regional Health Center and another was airlifted to University Medical Center in Tucson for injuries that were not life-threatening, said Bill Miller, fire chief for the Fry Fire District.
"Most were minor injuries, cuts and abrasions, some possible fractures," Miller said.
After the wreck on Sunday, a number of the passengers fled the scene toward Hereford Road, where they were later found and treated for injuries, he said.
The Sierra Vista Fire Department, the Cochise County Sheriff's Office and the U.S. Border Patrol also responded to the scene, Miller said.

It’s a good thing this happened in America and not Mexico. In Ammerica, when this happens, you are taken to the hospital. In Mexico, they just tell you to go home.
Suspected immigrants? Of course that means they hadn’t yet shown their VISAs for proper ID, right?

I just feel bad for the guy whose SUV they just trashed. Probably someone in Tucson or Phoenix. These bass turds did this with my son’s brand new Harley Davidson edition, Ford F250. They totalled it. I don’t want to hear about “poor illegal immigrants” hiding in the shadows. That’s a crock. Go Sheriff Joe!!!

Imagine the cost...what WE would be paying for the kind of care these people are getting for FREE!!! Yes, it’s on the taxpayer dole, BUT, most of us having to be lifeflighted with any kind of major medical problem...without insurance...we’d be RUINED financially...spending the rest of our lives trying to pay the bill...something illegals simply walk away from, change their names and assume their new identities.
At this point I think the only way that border would ever be shut down would be if the Mexican Gov decides they want to do it.
