The Mayo Clinic, which President Obama has touted as a model for the rest of the health care system, has delivered a blistering critique of the House Democratic health care bill:
"Although there are some positive provisions in the current House Tri-Committee bill including insurance for all and payment reform demonstration projects the proposed legislation misses the opportunity to help create higher-quality, more affordable health care for patients. In fact, it will do the opposite."

Obamacare is designed to kill people. It’s just so typical of the way Democrats think it isn’t funny.

The only people Democrats don’t want to kill are criminals, the Taliban and Al Queda...everyone from babies, the infirm and the elderly are all on the slaughter list.

Great News!!! I live in Rochester, MN, my wife works for the Mayo Clinic, and unfortunately most of their Board of Governors are liberal, left-wing retards, like Tom Daschle for instance and formerly Harry Blackmun, author of the infamous Roe vs Wade ruling. Also the biggest bloc of donors to liberal keft-wing 1st District MN-D Tim Waltz, was from employees of the Mayo Clinic. Mostly the nurses & service employees I would assume!!! Unbelieveable idiots!!!
However this was a GREAT Statement from Mayo Clinic, condemning 0booooooomba's socialist health care debacle. I am going to call Mayo Clinic and offer my congratulations & thank you!!!

If Obamacare is implemented the Mayo Clinic will only be caring for wealthy foreign patients, members of Congress and Administration staffers. The rest of us by law wold be prohibited from going there unless “authorized” by our government plan...likely never. We will instead be waiting for hours in a government run clinic for our 10 minutes with a physician's assistant or nurse who will determine our treatment using a government formulary.

With the exception of the hours of waiting outside of the ER experience, these rest we already have now.

This is a blast with a double-edged sword. While I applaud this criticism of an ill-conceived, dangerous and destructive bill, it appears that the Mayo Clinic is endorsing a MediCare payment plan that in many instances takes on the appearance of which chef's apple pie tastes best ( and BTW we, meaning the Mayo Clinic, want to be the judge of what equates to best tasting apple pie or quality medical care). Quality of care issues can be very easy to judge in retrospect but also are disastrous when rigidly implemented prospectively. Rigidly is the operative word since I have yet to see any large organization promulgate guidelines that are easily implemented yet have the flexibility to be modified as to the patient’s specific needs. For example, CMS guidelines encourage the use of pre-operative antibiotics for many surgical procedures where there is no research to prove that they prevent an infectious process and indeed may contribute to the dilemma of antibiotic resistance seen all across our nation's hospitals. How does CMS accomplish this? Simply by rewarding hospitals that attain a high threshold level of preoperative antibiotic coverage with increased dollars to that institution. This is a Pandora's box in my opinion that needs to be left unopened.

Unlike the Banks and the Auto Industry the Health Care industry is not going to bend over and just take one from Obama.

Well....I heard on the radio today the the AMA has endorsed uhbama's marxist crap.
The AMA (American Medical Assc.) is a very solid group, or used to be...and I have VERY STRONG SUSPICIONS of this report for two reasons, first, my family has four practicing physicians right now and EVERYONE feels strongly against his plot to suck away the doctor patient relationship and second, when uhbama spoke before a group of physicians ( can't remember if it was the AMA or not, it probably was ) he WAS NOT received very well.
So WHO exactly is the spokesman for the AMA and EXACTLY how did the AMA come to this conclusion? Was there a MEMBER VOTE? Was it a BOARD? And if it was a board that supports uhbama, I SUGGEST A VERY GOOD INVESTIGATOR FIND OUT EXACTLY WHERE THE BRIBES LAY.
Because I know in MY SOUL that dedicated DOCTORS see this plan for what it is and what it will do to medicine in the furture.

I’ll believe Mayo. Because of them, I’m still here. If we had Obama-care in 2006, I’d be dead.

Only 20-30% of physicians belong to the AMA. It is a political group. And, obviously, a liberal one.

Yep. Mayo is good for a reason. My hospital subscribes to the Mayo model of structure and process, and I think it is a good thing.
