African Americans are more fundamentally rooted in the American experience because they don’t have a recent immigrant experience to draw on.

Glad to hear that Obama has now officially acknowledged that he is NOT an African-American.

“African Americans are more fundamentally rooted in the American experience”

So drop the African and call them Americans. That is what I call them unless I know they were born in Africa and have since become citizens. Or Kenya...
