Democrats and President Obama have denied that the creation of a new government-run health care plan would be a Trojan Horse for single-payer health care, but a new report by the Lewin Group (comissioned by the Heritage Foundation) finds that the House Democrats' health care bill would shift more 83.4 million Americans from private health care coverage to the government plan. To put that in perspective, that would mean that nearly half (48.4 percent) would lose their private health coverage. In all, the government plan would have 103.4 million members once implemented, according to the Lewin analysis. President Obama has repeated the mantra that anybody who likes their health insurance plan can keep it, but in reality about 63 percent of covered Americans get their health care through their employers, and if employers decide to drop their current health plans in favor of the government plan, workers won't have any choice but to sign up.

A PETITION FOR CONSTITUTIONAL RESTORATION
I think this thing is gonna blow up.
Cap and steal should blow up right along with it.
Obama is like a man with a hole in his sock, who takes a pair of scissors and tries to cut out the hole.
So the 83 million loosing their private insurance should help balance out against the 43 million right now who don’t have coverage......
Also, start referring to it in ads and everywhere else as a RationCare. When asked, explain that the only way for the plan to cover some larger number of people will require rationing of health care services and still the plan will have to cost significantly more than pricate healthcare costs now.
That will pit those "constituents" who care about "universal" healthcare against those who think that the government plan is needed to save costs of Medicare and Medicaid. They both lose. The split will doom any "plan" that can be conjured up. And the details in the proposed bills will finsih them off.
That's what happened to HillaryCare when people started looking into the details and wanted none of it. That's why Obama is doing blitzkrieg and trying to push this and Crap-and-Tax bills so fast, without people getting bogged down in details, because that's what led to "The era of big government is over" just two years later. Democrats remember that. Hope that Republicans do also.
If they wanted healthcare reform and free healthcare to be fair with those with private insurance they would give a person with private insurance an up to 5,000 dollar a year tax deduction for having private insurance.
I am doing what I can to get these monstrosities defeated!
I sure hope it blows up, along with every “crisis”-invoked bill the obamanation has planned..... when the news reports that the Congress wants to keep its current healthcare, then there is trouble brewing..... Thank the Lord for The Heritage Foundation.

Me too.
They can have my healthcare plan when they pull it from my cold, dead... never mind...
Seems like this (if passed into law) would be a clear example of taxation without representation, in regards to the forced compliance in having to buy into the governments plan...
If I do not have insurance “I” have to buy into their plan...
Doesn’t sound like something I want to be forced to do, and be punished, with severe penalties for not complying...
I believe we fought a war over that type of tyrrany...
To bad there won’t be enough of us to fight this time...
See y’all in the funny papers...
Something obviously got skewed with the poll results...
Too many stupid people think its going to help...
If there are any true conservatives left in the senate, they should line up, one by one, and go Strom Thurmond on this nonsense. Good old fashioned filibusters. And all they would have to do is read page by page of the cap and trade and health care bills to sink them. But I fear they won’t do it.
I am tired of the lying and pattycake playing. They need to do the right thinh or leave office.
Now’s their time and stand up and be counted. I pray they will.
