MINNEAPOLIS (AP) - Ahmednur Ali's family fled the chaos and violence of their West African homeland Somalia in the 1990s, eventually making their way to Minnesota like thousands of their compatriots.
While many of the estimated 32,000 Somalis who settled in the state have struggled to adapt, Ali flourished, blazing a path to Minneapolis' Augsburg College on a soccer scholarship by age 20. He studied political science and aspired to a political career modeled on President Barack Obama's.
He was shot and killed last September outside a busy community center where he worked part-time as a youth counselor, and prosecutors said the 16-year-old accused of killing him was part of a gang.

The Somalians were placed in Minnesota precisely because it was “lilly white.”
The Multiculturalists in the State Department made the decision for the Minnesotans.

A very radical Islam group held a ‘conference’ yesterday in Chicago at the Oak Lawn Hilton.
They are openly recruiting 9-18 y/o young men to carry out their Islamic terror acts.
I will never use a Hilton when traveling ever again. Won’t attend any convention at one- nothing.
Minnesota:
1. Elects Jesse Ventura as Governor (later replaced by Pawlenty)
2. Invites in thousands of Somali muslims.
3. “Elects” Al Franken to the Senate (fair or not, it was close enough for ridicule)
4. Bitches about the condition of the economy (63% think it sucks as of today’s Ras poll)
5. And now is beset with Somali gang violence
Sorry, Minnesota — You emptied the compassion reservior when you sent Franken to the Senate. Suck it up.
It’s the height of arrogance and narcissism to imagine that people who have turned Mogasishu into a uninhabitable anarchic warzone would suddenly become good Americans simply by being in America.
The State Department people who made the decision to import these people should be tried for felony murder, and I mean it.
Keith Ellison was a harbinger of discord for Minn. and it’s been downhill ever since.
That’s funny, last week I was visiting Minneapolis also. But I was drinking too much beer to read any Yellow Pages.

I also had time to go running twice from downtown over to UMN and back again over the foot bridges.

Geez, the last time I checked a map, Somalia was in EAST AFRICA —not “west Africa.”
Obviously another journalism major wrote this story without checking their basic “facts.” But then again what should we expect from a Minneapolis journalist named “Pat CONDOM”?
