I would have thought with Dems in power, the criminals would have become more emboldened. Must be because of more armed citizens.

If a tree falls in the woods, does it make a sound?

My guess is that the inner city thugs have killed so many of their own kind, there’s fewer and fewer of them to commit more crimes.

In TOTALLY unrelated news, gun and ammo sales have tripled.

Well since they still blame the economy on bush...I’ll go ahead and say this is bush’s fault too.

Maybe the massive self-deportation (due to the economy) of illegals is a contributing factor.

Absolutely no correlation to increased gun and ammo sales since November 2008, right?

Has anyone noticed the number of articles on FR about perps being shot while committing crime? Maybe we’re killing the bad guys, huh?

I live in the Bay Area. Crime is not an issue unless you are in the ghetto areas of SF, Oakland, or Richmond. Once in awhile, ghetto gangs will venture out into the mainstream areas, but the cops are on it so fast that it ends quickly. On the other hand, in the ghetto areas, there is still a murder every few days. Please, gang bangers, stay focused!

Well...I wonder in the case of D.C. how much credit can be given to the decision of the Supreme Court that residents have the right to bear arms? (snot good enough that the 2nd amendment exists.....the supremes have to put a stamp of approval on it)

Nah, crime only “appears” to go down, because the criminals took up politics instead.

Must be because of more armed citizens.

Or The One has enchanted the masses into calm...;^)

Perhaps it has to do with how crime is (or is not) reported...?

There has never been a period of greater guns & ammo sales than in the last 8-9 months. The reason there is no corresponding spike in crime is that these sales were to law abiding citizens.
