According to CBS, not even 30% of the people think Palin is qualified to be President, so the fact she is running neck to neck with Obama says a lot about Obama.
How about Obama vs “none of the above”?
Probably the highest poll numbers of all
Palin’s got my vote but the bigger picture here is, IMO, that Obummer isn’t going to win against either of them.
Hussein and goons will be after them ALL soon.
“The fact that shes within 6 of Obama even with all of that is what has the liberals in both parties scared.”
The fact the supposedly dead-in-the-water Sarah Palin is even within shouting distance of the zer0 after the media pounding she’s taken is absolutely amazing — and encouraging. Only a small handful of GOPers qualify for my vote and none are currently expressing interest in a 2012 run. Sarah, of course, is my first choice.
Want same ole, same ole? Vote Romney. Want a Renaissance? Vote Palin. The people will decide, not the polls, not the MSM. We still have 3 years to go, a lot can happen. For Sahah to come up with 42% in spite of the horrific attempts to squash her is amazing. I bet the NYT loves Romney.
Romney could spend every penny of his $500 million fortune, it would not get him even the nomination. Why does he bother?
Yeah right. Romney who? They set us up the last time and we came away with McCain. Like that worked.
Sarah vs. Romney, where’s that poll?
She’s wipe the floor with Oboomba, even with his newsmedia army.
Developing? Developing for what? 3 1/2 years from now? Polling companies and the media just have to keep election coverage going on a 24/7/365 basis. They can’t help themselves. Forget the fact that polls like this are the very definition of “irrelevant” not to even mention a waste of time.
This is actually an amazing result, considering it includes Dems and independents and that it comes after Mitt having spent millions and millions and millions pitching himself for the role. While Palin has essentially been a caged target—taking in millions and millions and millions of the MSM’s best-shot, focused hate and, yes, lies.
Really amazing. Also note the incumbent is under 50% all of m6 months into his tern—and with all the PC-driven reticence for people to admit they might not support The One.
We don't need no stinkin' RINO's no mo' !
The MittWitts can't see what a Liberal REALLY is, and the lackluster confirms the problem with the Republican Party.
We can do better than those two...
A poll without naming specific person or list would be far more meaningful. Regardless how one feels about Rasmussen, I think mentioning Palin or Romney unfairly suggests Palin or Romney are the only viable candidates.
This is way too soon to do this kind of polling. Why doe we allow it?
The fact that Romney has been out campaiging for months, and has not been savaged by the media gives him the edge right now. Palin has absorbed everything they’ve thrown at her, they’ve attacked her kids, her husband, her toenails, her hair, her clothes, they’ve mocked and degraded her at every turn. I’d say being at 42 percent is excellent. There isn’t much else they can do or say about her. Once she hits the speaking circuit, keeps writing op/eds, giving interviews, and don’t overlook her book coming out next spring, I’ll bet it hits #1 on the best sellers list before it even hits the shelves. Her numbers will continue to rise, Romney’s will fall as Palin gains momentum. Next FEC report will probably show that she out fundraises Romney by a significant amount, which will also provide a boost to her numbers, as will the huge crowds she draws to events over the next several months.
PING!
The big news is that it is this close at this point.
Despite the constant media bashing of Palin.
If Palin gets to speak, the numbers will change
Romney’s a leftist.
If he’s so wonderful why did we jettison him + keep McLame?
The commies will give us Romney as our candidate, then they’ll destroy him after the primaries.
They view him as vulnerable b/c he’s Mormon.
