POLL TO BE RELEASED AT 10:30 AM ET:
...
OBAMA 45 ROMNEY 45
OBAMA 48 PALIN 42
...
DEVELOPING.....
Maybe so, but it was still republicans in closed primaries that voted for McCain.
It’s actually astounding. THis poll was taken a week after she she basically quit politics in what even a supporter of hers such as myself had to admit was a puzzling move. One thing you can’t do in politics, sports, any public endeavor is be seen as a quitter. She basically said I’m taking my ball and going home. THe natl media who had already crucified her spent 10 striaght days laughing at her and ridiculing her even further.
She has 2.5 yrs experience as Gov of a state with a population of 600k. No military experience. No economic credentials. No natl security expertise. No nothing.
The President is the Messiah, the most popular man in the world with unlimited money and the entire media having propped him up for 3 straight years now as the greatest man to ever live.
With all that...he can’t even top 50% against her. Can’t top 45% against Romney.
Not a good sign for Obama.
The bottom line is if the economy recovers he’ll win in 2012, if it doesn’t he’ll lose. If you look at history, you can look at any election, examine the economic conditions at the time and also factor in any war situation/huge scandal, look at the money factor, the incumbent’s approval rating, and you’ll basically be able to know who wins.
the candidates and camapigns are largely meaningless in the end. ANy democrat would have won last yr, any Republican would have lost. Doesn’t matter who. Chris Dodd would have won if he was the nominee. Once the economy tanked in Spetembet the election was over.
It would be like Usain Bolt getting ready to race Tyson Gay in the 100M this weekend and Gay breaks his leg in a warmup. He’d be finished. The economic and market collapse was the euivalent of a broken leg.
We still have 3.5 years of Obama. Waaaayyyy too soon
Do we really have to spell out why Romney will never win a national election...
