Vice President Joe Biden and Secretaries Gary Locke and Tom Vilsack will kick-off the Rural Tour on July 1st by visiting Wattsburg, Pennsylvania, to discuss the issue of rural broadband.

With all the issues facing Americans, these idiots are kicking off the discussion with broadband? How out of touch are they?

About broadband — in our area, availability ends on our mile. Where my folks live, it’s not available at all. They are still on dial-up.

Availability is pretty spotty.

However, life DOES go on without broadband ;-)

From what I read no one showed up for Biden’s talk on broadband on July 1st. Aides had to remove chairs and the SS finally let some students in to add a few more to the audience.

I'll trade my blazing 56K dial up line for what ever you have.

nobama promised me broadband and I want to know where it is!

My guess is that this non-issue is the only the White House feels comfortable sending Biden to discuss. Give him a more serious topic, and he’d probably step in it.
