No entitlements. No welfare. No transfer payments. No subsidies. No feel good or do good projects of any kind. No arts, no education, no welfare, no health, no environment, no science, no space, nothing. Nothing that is not expressly authorized.

No space? That's incredibly short sighted Jim. Future wars will be fought from orbit. Let the Chinese continue their space program while we abandon ours and see how that works out down the road.

You might as well join the fruitcakes who think the Air Force is unconstitutional because it's not expressly mentioned in the constitution.

Yup. No space. If you wish the federal government to fund space exploration (for social purposes), all you’ve got to do is pass and ratify a constitutional amendment authorizing it. Now, I might see a reason authorizing federal funds for satellite technology strictly limited to national defense, but not for curious social or commercial undertakings. Those should be funded and explored by private enterprise.
