So if everyone now begins their teargas training, one might march a bit longer.

Just go down and purchase some pepper spray and bottled water. Line up your family and given a good shot....then another.

Blindly, while choking, salivating, and crying, lean your heads back and administer the bottled water to the face.

Now, don't forget the thick pieces of card board in your torso and thigh areas to soften the impact of the rubber bullets.

Always....always pad up around the upper back and neck so not to give in after the first blow of the trudgeon.

Stand beside you in this.

suggestion:

Rather that have the two interim senators elected, have the two interim senators appointed by each respective state legislators, as this coincides with our desire is to abolish the 17th.

Unemployment will have to be dealt with at the state and local levels.

Respectfully beg to differ:

If the government at all levels would just get out of the way, I think unemployment could be dealt with most effectively at a personal level. People aren't stupid and would figure out what to do. Without such a massive tax and regulatory burden lots of opportunities would arise.

And any help could be organized by private charities.

That's how we used to do it, before government at all levels convinced us that we didn't know how.

>>”If I’m marching on Washington, I’m gonna bear arms.”<<

I don’t think we’re at that point quite yet. We need to show up with toy guns or cardboard/foam ones first. One million angry Patriots holding fake evil black rifles held high over our heads screaming for their heads would literally scare the crap out of them.

The D.C. sewer system would clog up so tight that it would take a nuclear powered Roto-Rooter to clear the pipes.

If that didn’t work, THEN we take it to the next step.

JimRob wrote “The central government has denied the states their constitutionally guaranteed republican form of government by introducing the 17th amendment which alters the way the senators which were to represent the sovereign interests of the various states to the central government. We must reestablish that representation by repealing the 17th amendment and allowing the state legislatures of the various states to elect their own senators as intended by our founders.” I agree, repeal of the 17th is essential to once more establishing the balance of power between the several states and the federal establishment.

The 16th and 17th amendments were ratified in 1912, William Howard Taft, a Republican, was President. The Teddy Roosevelt and Howard Taft Republicans were known as Progressives in those days. The 17th amendment was ratified to make the Constitution more democratic. By altering the manner of the election of Senators, the principal mechanism employed by the framers of the Constitution to protect federalism was also altered. If we are to save our once glorious Republic federalism must be reestablished.

The 10th amendment is toothless and meaningless unless the states are represented, as entities, at the federal level. In the last analysis, the Constitution is a contract between three parties, the citizens, the states, and the federal establishment. The latter is guilty of a massive breach of contract, and the grievances of the remaining two parties must be redressed in some manner. The discussions on state sovereignty are high lighting the intent of the 10th amendment and the primacy of state’s rights. They are, after all, as important and fundamental to our civil government as our inalienable individual rights.

Thank you, Jim Robinson, for including revocation of the 16th and 17th amendments in your proposal. I am disappointed that thus far these particular items, among your thoughtful suggestions, have not received the attention they deserve.

people are more worried about their jobs (or lack of one) or being cut down in hours and paying bills TO DRIVE AND PROTEST/MARCH.

This is my thinking too regarding any protests at this time. Many people who are vehemently against the current administration would be unable to drive to protest BECAUSE of the administration's policies.

We hereby repeal the 16th amendment. The IRS and all sub departments and agencies are hereby dissolved, disbanded and closed.

IMO, it is baby steps.

This would need to come in time. Asking for that at the outset would relagate you to a "fringe" group at the very outset, and that would serve nobody's purpose.

Looks like it. The only question is whether it is purposefully done or not.

Jim, Please support my "YOU FIRST, CONGRESS" idea and put it in the sidebar.

This is demanding that Congress goes on the health care plan they want for us for 2-3 years and THEN we'll talk!

Pleae, Jim.....support the "YOU FIRST, CONGRESS" idea.

Unless the attendees are armed they will be ignored. Fear is the only thing that will keep the gov’t from further infringement.

1,000,000 armed people with AR’s/AK’s, and openly carried handguns congregating on the national mall would have the desired effect.

SELF-ADVERTISE — It is easy for each of us to advertise this event to help get the one million people to DC. Print out flyers at home and have them handy in your car. Place them at banks, libraries, book stores, restaurants. Wherever you go, just put one or two out there. Add website links so that people can get more information! I’m starting today!

unless the individual has lost a right because of the commission of a crime.

Unfortunately, Congress now has enough (millions) laws and regulations on the books to 'criminalize' any person in the country. Unfortunately the named leader 'Sec/y of State' has her FBI files on all of us...That name wouldn't have been at the top of MY list but JimRob is spot on with all else.

I would caution everyone that wants to march on Washington to visit this web site:

http://www.mdw.army.mil/mdwoperations.htm

Read around and past all the fluff and ceremonial stuff and pick out the real reason for it's existence.

One quote to pay attention to is, "Military District of Washington and its area counterparts formed as the Joint Force Headquarters National Capital Region, able, since September 2004, to stand up when called for as a Joint Task Force, for homeland defense and defense support to civil authorities challenges, whether natural or manmade."

I say we wait 1-3 years.

1 million well fed and annoyed conservatives has less productive dynamic than 5 million small business owners who no longer have their small businesses and who have had to skip every other meal for the last 6-12 months.

I think the latter has a more productive dynamic.

This nations defense is about this nation and her citizens. While it may help foreigners to join our army/navy, I don’t care about them. I am sick of hearing of what this nation should do based on what a foreigner wants. There are other ways to becoming a US citizen and selling citizenship using our army has got trouble written all over it.

One problem we have is that we can conduct foreign wars the people don’t want because who cares if a bunch of foreigners we don’t even know want to enlist. It doesn’t affect us as much if we and our familes don’t have to go.

If there is a war we the people believe in then we will enlist in a heartbeat. There is no need for foriegners to enlist.

Again, I have no doubt many foreigners have served with honor, including two of my roommates while I was military, but, once again, if there is a war this nation needs to fight then this nation’s citizens need to step up and do so. It is one way of controlling our elected officials from conducting wars we don’t want: They can try to send troops but if no one enlists then they ain’t got an army to send.

Also, should our out of control government seek to use the military against the people, we will be facing foreigners who have little ties to us, and they could easily recruit more if need be. A citizen army is far less likely to take orders to do this country any harm.

A major downfall of the Roman empire was that the citizens no longer displayed patriotism. They didn’t have to: Only the rich could be elected officials and the army were foreigners. They lived trying to duck taxes, regulation and tyranny, just like we are today.
