Can you imagine had this happened to Nixon? There would still be wall to wall coverage about the "evil conservative...". Of course Nixon would not have been out drinking and driving, or fled the scene.

If it had been Nixon, his rear end would have been in jail for a LONG time.

Rest in Peace, Mary Jo.

The bastard who let you drown is drowning now in his own fluids. But he won’t be joining you in Heaven. So you never have to encounter his ugly soul again!

Joe Senior was extremely, perhaps even obsessively, ambitious for his sons.

Rose wasn't too far behind.

Joe Kennedy was an apologist for the Nazis. He was our “ambassador” in England before the war, and in addition to cheating on his wife with as many women as possible, he publicly stated that the Nazi war regime couldn’t be beaten.

Northern Yankee,
Kennedy was not just drinking and driving.
He was with a young woman (not his wife) trying to find a way to seclude them from others to do the dirty deed.
He was way over the legal limit and then the accident. He was told by his lawyers to not turn himself in til after he’d sobered up.
He could have saved her or at least brought her back to the surface had he not freaked and ran.

cremating her body so fast.

You are mistaken. Kopechne was not cremated. Had she been, there would have been no reason for Judge Bernard Brominski to deny issuing an order on 10 December 1969 to exhume her body.

As I recall there were 6 MARRIED men at the party and 6 UNMARRIED woman at the party. None of the married men’s wives knew about this particular party. Obviously they lied to their wives as to what they were doing on that Saturday night. Draw your own conclusions as to what was going on.

Keep in mind Ted’s Congressman son- a role model of a true Kennedy (out of drug rehab to vote on the floor).

****

I know he had some investment in the film industry and among the perks were numerous starlets for his pleasure. Meanwhile, his wife got to stay home with the litter of children.

As far as the war goes — kinda ironic that his son, Joe Jr. died defending our country in that war. Wonder if Joe had any guilt feelings. Nah...I doubt it.

Condor, what a nice synopsis of his life, the cheating the reckless driving, etc.
meanwhile a certain young politician on the right is smeared as an idiot
i wish someone with a little creativity could put on ad on TV highlighting the shameless double standard, and put the Libtards noses in this bs. Keith Olberman’s head would explode
i am sorry the man’s dying, esp with no repentance at least not public and it should be public, if there is any

.....and look what it says about the voters of a state that would elect him over and over and over (not to mention their election of Romney as governor, thereby becoming the first state with socialized medicine).

Possible? It’s a friggin’ no-brainer. It’s a known fact that the Kopechnes were paid off. Sure, The Hiccup drowned Maryjo by running the car into the water, but her family are the ones who sold her down the river.

Joe was horrible and schooled his sons to be the same. He was a total perv who actually hit on his sons’ girlfriends and an endless array of other women. He got his comeuppance when he had a stroke and could only utter the word “No” for years afterwards while faithful Rose tended to his every need. He’d get all flustered trying to communicate, flailing his arms. But after the stroke, he was forever after trapped and unable to control/manipulate people anymore.
