We know we spend a huge amount of money that last year of life. More and more people are gonna say, I don't want people poking tubes, and, you know, uh, doing all sorts of...stuff. The most important thing we can do on end-of-life care right now: to encourage people to look at hospices as a...legitimate option."

Sounds to me like he is admitting to flying to Hawaii last year to pull the plug on Granny.

Anyone have a “Soylent Green” movie poster. Might be more fitting.

I don’t mind his idea at all.....if the recipients are liberals, illegals, and Democrats. One less vote.

After all, he wouldn’t want his daughters punished with a grand parent.

One less vote. It means they only vote three times instead of four.

I wonder what the AARP thinks of this? I wonder if they have the guts to rethink their position?
If this is what Obama has the guts to say openly, I wonder how radical his true stance is? Euthanasia?

I guess we are going to be given Skunk Dates and at that time will not have any access to health care.

I wish that were the case but we all know dead Democrats still vote.

An ominous hint of the future of seniors under Obama care ...
AARP is about as representative of seniors as AMA is of doctors.

As far as the AARP is concerned about that 'last year of life', well, the kids won't pay the dues while Grandma or Gramps are semi-conscience in the hospital so the heck with them.

I had a message from AARP on the answering machine yesterday. They are all for it. It won't hurt old people in the slightest bit. I wish I had saved the message. They want us to call our people and urge them to vote for it.
Maybe they haven't read the bill either!
