Jacqui Smith has admitted she was not up to being Home Secretary - and should have been given some proper training before she was handed the job.
Ms Smith, who is likely to be remembered for claiming expenses for a porn film watched by her husband, said any success she had was down to luck rather than skill.
She added: "When I became Home Secretary I'd never run a major organisation. I hope I did a good job but if I did it was more by luck than by any kind of development of skills.

Nice. Deserved its own thread.
I was surprised it hadn’t been posted already.
Refreshingly honest for a crappy politician to admit what they are....
“When I became Home Secretary I’d never run a major organisation.”
well that’s a lie... was not she running government in some way?
Unbelievable.
Michael Savage was just talking about this on his show (was listening in my car...on my way home...on my lunch break from work).
Very interesting. Thanks for posting.
Savage has to be laughing his butt off at this clown’s expense. Politics has become an international disgrace.
Well, Jacqui considering your Majority at the last election was only 2,716 votes (6.7%), I’m sure the voters of Redditch (Her UK Parliament constituency) will soon figure that you are not up to being their MP (Member of Parliament) either.
She won the seat in 2005 with plurality of only 44.7%

Obviously qualified. A real Angel.
Riiiiiiight.
If this is a TRUE story, then give the lady a hand!! BRAVO....not often....maybe NEVER...that a politician admits he’s in over his head!! Refreshing!
By Ms. Smith's apparent own confession, she wasn't up to the task and had no business naming Michael Savage (USA) as forbidden from entering the UK. I hope he recovers enough $$$$$$ from her personally to compensate him for her incompetence and from the UK for having hired an incompetent for such an important position.
Yes, unfortunately, there’s not a lot of virtue in honestly stating that you were dishonest. :)
