So I went walking at lunch today, about noon time, and low and behold,
I came across a tea party in progress in front of the Equitable building
on Peachtree Street in downtown Atlanta. Is it a coincidence
that this is where Rep. John Lewis's office is located?
Hmmmmm, I think not.
There were maybe 30 or so folks walking with signs ranging from:
'Fair Tax' to 'No Socialized Medicine' to 'Get Us Out Of The UN'.
I don't know who any of these people are or who organized it.
What ever happened to the Gwinnett County Tea party?
Wow you have a great cell phone camera. My cellphone takes photos like the Iranian protestors do.
www.teapartypatriots.org organized this as a national event in opposition to govt. attempt at healthcare takeover. They have a fantastic spreadsheet of blue dogs and select committee member contact info on their website too.
I went to the event at Dr. Tom Price’s office GA-06 and there were about 60 people there.
I just thought it was neat that I was
out trying to get some pizza at lunch
and just happened to run across this protest.
It would be wonderful if such protests became routine
and we had them popping up all over the place.
I was wondering what happened all over Georgia???
My girlfriend and I went to Hank Johnson’s office in Lilburn at noon but we were the only ones there. We went in and were treated well, one aide took notes on our grievances.
There was however a couple dozen MoveOn.org types with signs for Healthcare Now on the road in front of the office.
Anyone else ‘teaparty’ around the state?
