BUTLER, Mo. Buy a truck and get a free AK-47 gun.
That's the deal a Missouri truck dealer is offering new customers who buy a pick-up truck in August.
Mark Muller, owner of Max Motors in Butler, says he knows people will be bothered by the promotion.
But not to worry, Muller is not handing out free guns. Instead, he will give buyers a voucher to use at a gun store after they obtain a license to carry a concealed weapon.
The AK-47 is an upgrade on a previous promotion in which Muller gave away vouchers for the price of a Caltec pistol.
The retail value of an AK-47 is $450 dollars but Muller says customers can spend their voucher on the gun of their choice.

Saves wear and tear on the slide contact points...especially for '+' ammo. Perhaps also less likely to 'smokestack' a shell. You made a wise purchase...as I have! My stainless HP shooter has joined me in the ocean at least once...and keeps on ticking. Best weapon ever, by best weapon inventor ever (get "John M. Browning" at the library sometime). Your .32 would be called a 'Browning' in Europe!
Why? Accurate, rugged, inexpensive, idiot proof to maintain, proven in combat, cheap plentiful ammo. It’s the Walmart of rifles.....
Our local rag prints a different version in the paper than what they put on-line. Not sure which is edited from which sometimes.
Moral to the story: If you're doing anything that has to do with Guns or God, don't interview with the SRM. (state run media)
Actually, I’d like to see more interviews like this where the SRM reporter gets schooled by a patriot! :)
Hopefully we’ll get our turn at the plate.
They are about 1000 dollars a piece as opposed to the 400 dollar a piece AKs.
