This is a victory for Bob Orr, who represented Atkinson. Orr ran for the Republican nomination for Governor last year, was Supreme Court justice for two terms, and now runs the NC Institute for Constitutional Law.

Armchair amateur political strategery: I'd love to see Orr run for Senate-47, which runs W, N + E of Buncombe County. I'd also love to see Bill Graham run for House-77, which is Salisbury. (Civitas maps here.)

The ruling makes sense.

I was wondering why in the hell Tax Rev Bev was making and end run on the dept of ed. Who knows? I’ll be so glad when she is gone..
