They might need Jimmy Carter to hide a pile this big.

Isn’t the NYPost usually quite liberal?
I can’t believe they are so blunt. It makes it more frightening that it will happen no matter what even if people tell it on the mountain, that it is the downfall of America.

They may be keeping their powder dry (and their $$) for when this hits the Senate, where they have a much better chance of killing it.That makes sense.

But if you get another job with a company who offers private insurance, can you sign up for that? They don’t seem to address that from what I’ve seen.

Or your employer will still offer private insurance with a sharp increase in the premium amount the employee has to pay, causing lower income employees to have no choice but to take the public option so that they will have a few dollars of take home pay left.
Our choices are basically should we cut of our leg or cut off our arm?

But if you get another job with a company who offers private insurance, can you sign up for that? They dont seem to address that from what Ive seen. The bill released 07/14 does have a provision for that: You cannot enroll in a private policy, you'd have to go with the public option. IBD did an article about it, it's down the Breaking News sidebar.

That sounds like a good suggestion. If congressmen can opt out, why can’t states?

It’s also time to resist the thuggish, intimidating bully in the White House. Senators and Congressmen, if he schedules a meeting with you about your vote, DON’T FOLD! RESIST THE STINK EYE!

The worst part: if this passes, we’ll be told every single day that it’s underfunded....

You cannot enroll in a private policy, you'd have to go with the public option. Bullshit. I'll go overseas for healthcare, Panama has first-rate care for much cheaper. I'm not signing up for any government health-care plan.

Panama. I’ll keep that in mind. I hope we don’t find a way to screw them up.

Oh yes. We TRUE, patriotic, creative Americans will make end runs. If a gov’t. form asks for the age of my elderly parent, well, isn’t it just too bad that my handwriting made make my 8 look like a 3 so that her age looks like 33 rather than 88. So I guess she WILL be getting that hip replacment. Two can play their foul little game. My own government may turn me into a lawbreaker to do it, but I will have quit caring. Will obtain needed meds for family ANY WAY I CAN—legal or not.
