No Wonder Black America Doesn’t Have A Clue

While flipping through the channels with my remote, I stopped on the movie, “Diary of a Mad Black Woman” on BET (Black Entertainment Television). Excellent movie. During a commercial break, they gave a news update. An announcer said, “They tried to get the Bronx kid, Sonia Sotomayor, but she beat them”. There was not one mention of Sotomayor's controversial racist statements. Thus, ill-informed black viewers who don't follow the news closely are led to conclude that those “evil racist white republicans” are at it again trying to block a person of color. I wonder how BET reported the democrat's trashing of black, Clarence Thomas and Hispanic, Alberto Gonzalez? Well, those two traitors deserved to be trashed. How dare they prosper without Affirmative Action and lowered standards contradicting the democrat's victim-hood rhetoric. Education, hard work and character? Heck No! We can not allow such a conservative message to influence black youths. These Uncle Toms must be destroyed! Then, the announcer praised Obama for his surgeon general nominee, Regina Benjamin, a black woman. Again, no mention of Benjamin's politics, which are far left. The report glowingly praised Benjamin for her wonderful work helping victims of hurricane Katrina. Call me crazy, but I believe they even super-imposed a subtle halo over her head. Just kidding. However, ANY opposition to Benjamin will be reported as more racism from those freaking S.O.B republicans.

Folks, this is so wrong and a huge disservice to African Americans. Urban radio is also guilty of unfair and unbalanced liberal favored reporting. No wonder Obama received 90% of the black vote. No wonder Black Americans do not have a clue regarding what is truly going on in our country. All they are fed is “Obama good. White racist republicans bad”. Why does black media continue giving aid and comfort to the real enemies of minority progress?

With the majority of black Americans getting their news from black and white liberal biased media, there is very little chance of them hearing the truth. Fortunately, I escaped the liberal plantation in the early 90s when I was exposed to Rush Limbaugh. Listening to Rush introduced me to brilliant black conservatives like Thomas Sowell and Walter Williams. I thought, “Why haven't these guys been featured on Oprah or honored at the NAACP awards?”

Answer: These blacks are paradigm breakers. They do not fit the “we are black, thus special concessions must be made for us” template.

So, how do we get the truth to black America? There are numerous modestly funded conservative black organizations; Project 21, National Black Republican Association and CURE to name a few. Recently, RagingElephants.Org made the liberals crazy with outrage over their “MLK was a Republican” billboard. I loved it! But, we need much, much more, bold, in your face messages. These courageous black patriots need your support.

“Emancipation. Revelation. Revolution.” won Best Cutting Edge Film at the NOIR Film festival 2006. The documentary chronicles the civil rights movement in America and the role that both major political parties played in it. This extremely revealing and educating film has yet to receive major exposure (ERRvideo.com).

I am president of the NAACPC, National Association for the Advancement of Conservative People of Color. At first, I rejected the position for the same reasons I rejected joining a Black Republican Club. I thought, we are all Americans with the same concerns and desires for our country and families. So, why is a black group necessary?” I still do not personally feel the need to belong to a black republican club, but to republican blacks who do, fine. All efforts to set blacks free have my full support.

However, my NAACPC is about educating, not just black America, but ALL Americans to the truth that conservatism is the most direct and fulfilling route to achieving the American Dream.

There are incidents in the Bible when God removed the scales from the eyes of individuals enabling them to see and receive the truth. This is my prayer for a blinded by liberalism Black America.

Some years back, I enjoyed watching a round table discussion on BET celebrating the anniversary of the end of segregation

A dear black friend and trusted employee (now deceased) told me years ago that he grew up hearing from his elders “the man ain't gonna let you make it, so don't even try”. I think in a lot of cases that was true, but some blacks made it anyway. Unfortunately they don't seem to have been respected or emulated by the majority.

I am black and I think that Obama will be the worst president since Jimmy Carter. Also I know many other blacks who feel the same way.

It’s the intelligent, informed black person who can see through this delusion of ‘First Black President’. We forget MLK’s admonition of ‘content of character rather than skin color’.

We eat at a Mexican restaurant and all the waiters are from the same village in Guatemala. They are all under 5 feet tall, very chunky and muscular and are pure Indian. No Spanish blood there.

After discussing the Sotomayor hearings and her questioning by Republicans, CNN's Headline News had a poll question, "Should Sotomayor's ethnic background be a factor in her confirmation?"

The question's wording clearly gave the casual observer the impression that it was the GOP senators who were making her "ethnic background" an issue when, in fact, the only one making her ethnic background an issue is Sotomayor herself.

Using the inaccurate 90% figure instead of the much more revealing figure of 95% with the republicans receiving only 4% seems an unnecessary mistake.

I agree. Lumping all people together of a particular race is a form of racism. People are not defined by the color of their skin. People are defined by what they believe, and their actions.

We have hospice in our home daily to help with my mother who has advanced Alzheimer's. These nurses are, for the most part, black, and in the tank for Obama. after a year of feeding one of them alternate news sites from the internet, she claims to be more conserative than I am, and a large influence among her family members. Another one was in absolute disbelief when I told her that Obama was spending her tax dollars on forced abortions, and that the man had never been properly vetted for his eligibility to hold the presidential office.

I firmly believe that this fight can be won if all of us take the time to talk to those that we perceive as the enemy and present them with one little tidbit of new information at a time. The problem is the news sources that they have ready access to. Besides sharing our sources, we have to find a way to broadcast truth into the community in a manner that will received.

So glad to hear you say this. I don't know any blacks personally anymore since moving from a small town 25 years ago. (I know a lot of Hispanics, legal and illegal) I pray that you are correct but I sure see a lot of Obama bumper stickers on cars driven by black people.

I am a Clarence Thomas fan too. I watched every minute of his conformation hearing and was cheering for him.

It's the same propaganda being dished out by fake news media everywhere, just packaged as “black.” Yesterday, one of the propaganda outlets was saying that Obama had not asked Sotomayor about her position on abortion, and she has made no comments on the subject. SURE... like I couldn't read the half dozen or so remarks she has made that she worships at the altar of the American Holocaust. Disinformation is the most important tool the Left has. We are governed and herded by myths, including blacks’ resentment, global warming, republicans = racists, abortion = women's “choice,” sexual perversion is normal, and let us not omit the myths of personal destruction aimed at anyone who stands out as a conservative leader, especially Palin and Bush.
