Swine flu is a nasty disease, but no nastier than other strains of influenza. True, it has killed hundreds of people in Mexico (possibly for these reasons); but even there, other variants of ‘flu virus have been far more lethal.

Why, then, the urgent need to inoculate the entire British population? Perhaps I’m being overly cynical, but I can’t help wondering whether we’re being pushed into a wrong-headed course of action by the health scare industry.

The Conservative Party in Britain has been relatively quiet regarding this as yet, I hope this will change it.

I have to agree with what Hannan has to say. I think also that more questions need to be asked and answered about this flu before any of us even consider any kind of vaccination against it. Remember the swine flu “epidemic” in the 1970s. “If you don’t get this vaccine today, you are all going to DIE!” So people got the vaccine. People got sick and many died from the vaccine itself rather than the swine flu they were told they’d be protected from.

It is already showing very disturbing signs in some people. It is killing otherwise healthy adults and young people. It is NOT killing elderly people, which “normal” seasonal flu varieties do. This has the potential to be very nasty this Fall, Winter and the next year or so. He is making a big mistake trying to politicize this. If it gets as bad as I think it will, it could ruin his career.

Obviously, the US has more cases than here in Britain, but excluding the people who have underlying medical issues, we've only had 1 death that's been directly attributable to Swine Flu here, and even that death still has not had an official declaration of the cause being Swine Flu.

All flu has the potential to be nasty, it's the nemesis of Human health, has been forever.

The symptoms of H1N1 illness has been on a par, at best, with seasonal flu here, and GP's publicly criticised the Governments mixed response and hype today, asking for clarifications.

In the event of a threat to security from a pandemic, the USA, as Europe would have their Governments dissolved, and then usurped by the UN and the WHO, with a strategy driven directly from the UN and WHO to deal with the 'pandemic'. which not only includes mandatory vaccinations, but also grants them power for commerce, travel, security, communications, and more importantly, the power to disarm and vaccinate you without consent, and use deadly force if necessary to implement it.

What are all those FEMA camps for, you think they're being built to confine Mexicans?
What are the multinational UN training exercises for, for deployment in Afgahistan or some other Country?

No never heard of him - I tend to listen to the Radio 4 ‘today’ programme and pm programmes about twice a week (in line with with travel committments) and read a broadsheet quite often - so if he is held to be a ‘saviour’, it’s by a small clique, I’d have thought.

But as to his above blog - What a disreputable individual. He is clearily little more than a childish self-publicist . He claims to question the calls to “inoculate the entire British population” and the need to take Tamiflu as soon as possible. I’ve looked at the Department of Health’s website – at their section on ‘Swine’ flu, and the DOH - and therefore the Government - are not advocating what Hannan purports to opposes. In fact their planning assumptions appear very measured and sensible. see

Cadno, you're a Brit, quoting NUlabour government policy as trusted fact, on a grassroots Conservative website, derising probably the last bastion of a British Conservative Politician because he's questioning the logic or motives of vaccinating 60 million people against flu with a vaccine that's not going to get any clinical trials, who's manufacturers, endorsers & application personnel are excempted from litigation should you die.

Let's go back to Hannan proposition that there is an(presumablably) official advocating of a blanket innoculation programme of the British population ( 60 million if you will) against this current H1N1 virus. Where is it ? Because I've not seen it. It doesn't appear on the DOH site as far as I can see. You show me where he gets this from and we can then discuss it. If this Hannan character wants to be taken as a serious politician, he's going the wrong way about it.

As for the exemption against clinical negligence litigation - I think you've just made that up. So I would like to see you justify that too.

The Model State Emergency Health Powers Act, the NATIONAL SECURITY PRESIDENTIAL DIRECTIVE/NSPD 51 and HOMELAND SECURITY PRESIDENTIAL DIRECTIVE/HSPD-20 :

Under the National Emergency Act, the President "may seize property, organize and control the means of production, seize commodities, assign military forces abroad, institute martial law, seize and control all transportation and communication, regulate the operation of private enterprise, restrict travel, and, in a variety of ways, control the lives of United States citizens."

12. Any physician or other health care provider who refuses to perform medical examination or vaccinations as directed shall be liable for delicensure and the inability to continue to practice in the State.

Article V Section 504(b). The Act gives the public health authority the right to isolate or quarantine a person on an ex parte court order, with no hearing for at least 72 hours. If the public health authority decides that an unvaccinated person is a risk to others, even if uninfected, he could be quarantined, per Article V Section 503(e).

27. The WHO and UN will become the controlling agencies in the US in the event of a declared pandemic level 6.

54. The WHO Pandemic Six level declaration entitles President Obama to impose martial law and deploy FEMA and the Department of Homeland Security "Pandemic Task Forces". Each State Governor will be notified that the provisions of the Model State Emergency Health Powers Act (MSEHPA) will be implemented. This means that all Americans must consent to mass vaccinations, or be guilty of a felony crime. The legal situation is that anyone who refuses the vaccine, and/or resists forced relocation to a prepared "quarantine compound", can "legally" be shot and killed because police are allowed to use "deadly force“ against felony suspects.
