I heard Frankin Stupid say Mason was a prosecutor. He wasn’t. He was a defense attorney.

Despite the lamebrains, I still love Perry Mason and have a lot of the DVDs. As a kid, one of the last independent stations in the early 80’s ran them as reruns. Being in school it was rare to watch more than one episode here and there.

I guess he was a fan of constant loser Hamilton Berger. Berger at least wasn’t some vengeful, power mad DA with axes to grind. I would rather have him as the TV character on the supreme court than what is up for bids now.

My favorite character on Perry Mason was Paul Drake (William Hopper). Man, he was one smooth cat.

Wow, glad to know they are hitting such hard issues such as “who was your favorite tv character as a child”. Those things matter in the whole scheme of things in the US Supreme Court you know.
Franken is an idiot.

It turns out Supreme Court nominee Sonia Sotomayor and Sen. Al Franken were both Perry Mason fans as kids. Well then, why are we having these hearings?? It's obvious that sotomayor is qualified afterall both her and franken were big fans of perry mason and franken is now a senator, so let's cut out the BS here and get this thing moving....sotomayor has many people to discriminate against....onward and upward........./sarcasm OFF

Voters in Minnesota must be proud. They probably are proud - after all, Raymond Burr was a closet homosexual.
(too many references to cite. Just Google "Raymond Burr gay")

I wouldn’t have minded being like Paul Drake either, he was the best character out of all the really good ones. Being a PI in the 50’s and early 60’s digging up information on people in real life had to be real labor.
