Take a look at the out of control spending, the ear marks, the lack of spine when the dems stalled judges, the ridiculous desire to legalize 20 million illegals ( and that started from the first inaugural and was only slightly derailed by 9/11). The education bill the prescription bill for seniors. ALL of it was nothing but dem lite. Bush was slow to move into Iraq. Bush allowed soldiers to be court marshalled for things that did not happen because he wanted a kinder gentler war. Bush vetoed nothing. The GOP rolled over for the dems from day one
The fact that you seem to think everything was hunky dory up until 2006 is part of the problem
You must have missed the part where I mentioned that there were things that W could/should have done differently (including some of the items you mentioned). And yes, too many GOP congressmen acted like dems rather than governing responsibly. Bush should have found his veto pen much earlier than he did. But he did push for and get passed two different tax cut programs, which spurred economic growth. He did push for and get confirmed several well qualified judicial nominees, including two SCOTUS jurists that appear to be very good picks. Are you SERIOUSLY suggesting that an algore or kerry presidency would not have been much much worse?
