NEA flexes 'political muscle,' backs same-sex 'marriage'

The National Education Association has thrown its full support behind homosexual "marriage."

The NEA recently held its annual convention in San Diego, California, where members voted on two issues of importance to those involved in the culture war. One of those issues was whether the union would support same-gender marriage. According to Jeralee Smith, co-founder of the Conservative Educators Caucus, the resolution passed by roughly a two-thirds majority.

"There are quite a few items where the NEA absolutely puts its political muscle behind taking down any legislation in any state that they consider to be discriminatory to homosexuals," says Smith. "And some of the language in the resolution also hints that the NEA will try to take down the Defense of Marriage Act [DOMA] on the federal level."

related article buttonSmith told Baptist Press that when a representative of the Conservative Caucus spoke against the resolution and mentioned the words "marriage should be between a man and a woman," the speaker was booed.

Also up for a vote was a resolution for the NEA to take a "no position" stance on the issue of abortion. That proposal was voted down 61 percent to 39 percent.

During the meeting, the organization's retiring general counsel, Bob Chanin, complained that "conservative and right-wing bastards" are after the NEA and its state affiliates. Smith called that statement "refreshing honesty" on Chanin's part about how he feels about conservatives. (See related article from LifeSiteNews.com)

I think we would hope that our NEA, our teachers union would indeed flex their muscle. As staunch advocates on education issues (and not all of what passes for them today). Not same-sex marriage.

Which makes one wonder why these people give up their children to them.

Reasons:

**Free babysitting.

** Those parents who can not afford to ransom their children from the atheistic Marxist indoctrination camps are under police and court threat to send their children to the government camps ( AKA “public schools”). The “ransom” is the extra costs parents must pay in the form of private tuition and/or homeschool expenses in addition to supporting the atheistic Marxist camps ( AKA “public schools”). By the way there are real bullets in the guns on the hips of those police.

***The government school is a price-fixing monopoly that is giving away tuition-free schooling. If a group of private industries were to do that the CEOs would be quickly prosecuted and imprisoned, but down on the “Animal Farm” government schools live in the farmers house. Private businesses get imprisoned in the barn. By price-fixing the cost of government schooling as tuition-free, this makes it very difficult for private schools to compete. When private schooling is scarce, expensive, unaffordable, or impossible to find, the parent is under police threat to use the atheistic Marxist schools ( AKA “public schools”).

With the help of the NEA and their agendas, American school children are academically ignorant.

This all part of the Marxist plan to “demoralize” America. They have succeed in doing this. That Obama is president is merely one consequence of this Marxist “demoralization”.

It is also very obvious that the NEA’s membership does not reflect the values and mores of those who entrust their children to their care.

But...The NEA does represent the values of our nation's teachers. ONLY TEACHERS MAKE THE NEA WHAT IT IS!!! Teachers are doing this!! The majority of them!!!

If teachers didn't want it, then the NEA would be different. Parents are not doing it. Legislators are not doing it. ONLY TEACHERS make the NEA what it is!

These are the people who are teaching our nation's children!!!

Same Sex Marriage? I wonder if they serve cookies and milk with that?

The solution to liberal ideology in public schools is fighting back.

Government schools from their very beginning in the mid 19th century was a socialist scheme to turn our nation's children into passive workers for the fascist state.

Socialism can not be reformed! It must be eliminated.

The best way to “fight back” is to close every government K-12 school in the nation! Conservatives must set up an alternative system of **private** conservative schools for every child in the nation.

Why would anyone expect anything else from the classroom bureaucrats?

I get a kick out of people who dump their kids in the socialized school system then complain about it. It’s like people in the socialist housing projects complaining about where they are located.

There are many homosexuals in the teaching field and unfortunately it looks like they want to be ‘teaching’ that homosexuality is a completely normal CHOICE for someone’s life (they are so big on calling abortion a CHOICE—well, so is the homosexual lifestyle!!)!!!
