Upon the EATR platform, the Pentagon could build all sorts of things — a transport, an ambulance, a communications center, even a mobile gunship

So, nobody forsees the possibility of issues surrounding the building of a somewhat autonomous machine designed to kill people, and that feeds off dead bodies.

I can see it now - a "minor software glitch" sends one of these things on a smorgasbordian rampage...

I especially like the idea of an ambulance which feeds off dead bodies. What could possibly go wrong?

Wrong. It’s bottom-feeding, and the “dead bodies” referred to are mostly wild animal carcasses. I don’t see how it could kill any of us - including our pets - intentionally.
