“What if others follow the Major?”

Follow him where? In desertion? If a federal court can show Obama is indeed not a citizen, and I suspect they might if they just looked, I would support the Major in following only those orders he felt were made by his superior officers in good faith until the Constitutional crisis could be resolved, but we cannot have our officers refusing orders simply because they don’t want to leave their cushy civilian jobs to go overseas and try to blame a President they don’t like. I hate Obama and I would never serve in the military under him but I sure as Hell wouldn’t
puss out of an assignment and try such a weak stand as the Major is doing. If he doesn’t want the assignment then he can resign, but he sure as Hell can’t say he will only follow some orders of Obama but not others based on what benefits him personally.

“as is his duty when receiving an order he perceived to be of dubious legality.”

Like i said, he sure took his paycheck which was also ordered by Obama. Seems he’s taking orders when it personally benefits him. Let’s see him put his money where his mouth is and refuse pay until the issue is resolved. Let’s see him demand no officers appointed during Obama’s term are to serve under him either. Let’s see him refuse ALL orders and not just ones that make him go overseas.

First, you tried to make it personal, then you say, “troll”. Seems you know that you have no argument, just like the Major.

Funny how a Major can volunteer for an assignment then claim Obama somehow is not legitimate so he doesn’t have to go. You do realize the Major VOLUNTEERED to go in the first place, right?

Talk about a troll, a Major Troll.

Now I know your a troll. I know the law, I know the case law. The Army isn’t even showing up to the TRO, and now they are facing a class-action TRO.

It’s all done. I know he volunteered. When he got his orders, he basically said, “Just one more thing, are these orders legal? Let’s find out!” Army/WH blinked.

They can’t issue him orders, and they can’t rescind them, and now they are facing a class-action TRO.

You HAVE to be a liberal. Only a liberal is this logic intolerant. The case law is black letter - Calley, Nuremberg. If the Army had the law, they’d be pounding it, and they don’t.

Your point is made. Now read response 39 carefully and see it from the other side. He has a valid point also.

What, he can't change his mind? Of course he can. The Major probably became convinced that Obama is not a natural born citizen over time by all the evidence and Obama's non response to the issue that has come to light.

“They can’t issue him orders”

You’re a real kook, you know that. The ARMY is afraid to issue him orders??? You’re real sure of yourself on this one and it’s like watching a train wreck. You just wait for the next move on the military’s part. It isn’t going to be pretty.

Not sure if you’re up to date on this- but the Army has rescinded Major Cook’s orders.

A tad irregular, to say the least.

"Like i said, he sure took his paycheck which was also ordered by Obama."

If the Major is IRR (and I'm not sure if that's the case) it's doubtful he's received any pay since Obama took office, and would not have become eligible for pay until the orders he challenged became effective.

"Let’s see him demand no officers appointed during Obama’s term are to serve under him either."

Those are issues for those other officers and their consciences. If they believe O holds his office legitimately, they can follow them if they so choose; however, if O does turn out to be an unlawful usurper, they will indeed have followed unlawful orders. Note that this is not a matter of whether or not Major Cook is "right" or "wrong"...he's not saying O holds the office illegally; he's saying he has doubts and merely asked for clarification. That is a subtle, but significant difference.

"Let’s see him refuse ALL orders and not just ones that make him go overseas."

I suspect that is his intent.
