Jim,

The referenced article is very important news with important ramifications discussed at the link. By virtue of the fact that it is in regards to a legal matter in our open courts, the information contained at the public link is in the public domain. For some inexplicable reason the amdins keep pulling all discussion of this article. The only explanation I can think of is that they are playing amateur spooks and believe that they know what is best for national security. If this is the case, the first thing they should learn is that information is never secured through obscurity and once the information appears anywhere on the Internet, it has been compromised and they can do nothing to undo publication of the information.

Maybe I’m missing something but it seems since BO can’t prove he is a natural born citizen then he doesn’t have the authority to rescind the Major’s order to deploy. BO has boxed himself into a corner if my understanding is correct.

I think they’re just trying to cover their asses just in case. We are a litigation happy society, after all.

If Obama isn’t eligible to be Potus, he can’t issue any order either way. Is Ms Taitz going to fall for this? Or continue?

This will be very interesting to see unfold. Now that Major Cook challenged and appears to have won, I would imagine there will be a wave of similar challenges. The discipline of the military will be lost, 0bama will have to face the issue once and for all.

The scenarios get scarier and scarier with each passing day of the 0bama administration.

I imagine the mods pulled the earlier articles because they included his social security number.

Didn’t win anything. The military pulled the orders, so this issue will now simply disappear. The case is now moot.

I forecast early in the day today that is what they would do in response. This is, again, as I said this morning, poor legal work on the part of our side.

An acting military officer is one of the best plaintiffs we could have. Forget the whine about why you don't want to follow the order--the prayer for relief should only have said we don't want to follow orders because this guy is not the President and can't issue them.

We have often and regularly had opportunities to effectively bring this to a legal head and because we don't get sufficient legal horsepower on the target, we lose.

And no, we didn’t win at all—this is a dead loss!

Revoking orders to Afghanistan does not end this case. An order for his to cross the street and buy a pack of gum raises exactly the same legal issue.

Just because they rescinded his orders, couldn’t he still be court-marshaled for refusing the first orders?

Rescinded his Orders as he is now facing a court martial most likely.

His Orders have copies in his unit in Afghanistan, by canceling them, they know to not expect him.

New Orders for Leavenworth are in the works.
