Beautiful picture! The scarf Sarah is wearing is knitted from qiviut, (KIVY-oot) the soft SOFT underwool from the musk ox. It makes incredibly warm scarves, hats, and mittens.

""Palin is attacking Obama's clean energy jobs plan to keep us hooked on Big Oil and Coal. Her lies are a real threat because she gets lots of media attention. Can you chip in to run an ad to counter Palin's lies?"Mercy! $ORO$ is too poor to pay for an ad ALREADY??? Sure makes ME want to know what he did with all that "stimulus" money...

John McCain ISN’T a conservative, but she’s still supporting him. He did help propel her politically “big time”, but McCain is still a RINO politician. This is really going to be a problem for her, but, maybe, in discussing it now, she will, also, be able to resolve this problem, somehow. I really want only the best for Sarah, but I’m not convinced that she’s completely shunning the RINO wing of the entire GOP. All RINOs have seriously got to go away forever, or else, it will eventually really be the end for the entire GOP!

She is doing her best to support the GOP.
She has to, as it is the only venue from which we can restore this country. The RINOs have to be dealt with, but not out in the open. Remember Reagan’s “11th commandment.”

"Sarah has already mentioned that she fully supports McCains re-election in 10, but she hasnt make it official yet. She may also support Charlie Crist over Marco Rubio. I really want to be wrong about these things!"Some things need to be done for strategic reasons. It always surprises me when someone we love does something WE don't think they should. The old adage, "Keep your friends close, and your enemies closer" comes to mind. Maybe this is Sarah's way of keeping an eye on weak people.
I always have to laugh when a thread pops up with a "disappointing" report about Sarah. Just the day before, we loved her with a passion, but if she makes a choice or a statement we don't agree with, we all jump up and holler, "That's IT! No more money from ME!! I'm sitting out this election!" :o) She is a good tactical thinker. I believe I'll give her the benefit of the doubt.

MoveOn officially targets Sarah and SarahPAC? I really don't have any extra money right now, but Mooo-On has officially given me a compelling reason to find some and send it to Sarah. I hope it pisses them off as much as they piss me off.

"WHen he moved to Washington politics, he had to depend on the democrat party and their PACs to fund his election campaigns....THe more he depended on them, the more he had to vote with them....No vote no money."I believe this is key. Money is the mother's milk of politics. New reps and senators get to Washington to discover that they have to toe the party line in order to have any chance of re-election. How sad for our country that our formerly honest representatives are so cheaply bought off.

A couple of years ago we tried to get a law passed that said campaign fund had to come from people and businesses within the state.....You wouldn’t believe the number of people and amount of money that came in to the stae to defeat it.
Sarah understand how it works....She works for a few conservative democrats and they owe her.

"The RINOs have to be dealt with, but not out in the open. Remember Reagans 11th commandment. She has bigger fish to fry. She is the only republican right now who can draw attention to the conservative opinion on various topics. No other republican politician carries that kind of authority.
Once she has established herself and her conservative credentials, she can start measuring the RINOs and contrasting them against what she has established. If they get in her way, I'm sure she'll have no problem whatsoever going after them as well as the democrats. Since when dealing with her, these RINOs have done nothing but pretend Reagan and his "11th Commandment" never existed. And Reagan himself had no problem going against liberal republicans like Rockefeller when they got in his way.

Getting the yarn is the hard part. I have only seen qiviut available in Anchorage, in
"Oomingmak," the qiviut store (yes, a whole shop dedicated to the knitting, weaving and crafting of cozy stuff from our friend, the musk ox). One of the things I saw that caught my eye especially was the
pullover "hood" type scarf, knitted in a tube shape.
I spun some into yarn years ago, but sneezed the whole time I was at it. It doesn't like me much, I guess.

Sarah has already mentioned that she fully supports McCains re-election in 10, Fortunately for all of us, she OWES McCain her full support.
Without McCain she would still be just Governor of Alaska.
Surely that isn't what you would wish for with a magic wand is it?

You referring to the nachaq? I also see they have stoles.
You know, one rarely sees a gal with a snood or a stole too oft. I like to see a woman in a stole, very feminine. After the 60s women really forget how to dress appropriately.
Didn't see anything at the Qiviut Store I'd want to have. Reckon I'll pick up another sweater next time I'm in Ireland.
