Bloom's relevant experience appears to be negotiating for unions with troubled companies, and so it would be useful to know his approach. Thanks to an old Time magazine collection of quotes, here it is:
"Let me give you some advice. First, we are big believers in dentist chair bargaining. For those of you not familiar with this approach, it is inspired by the story of the man who walks into his dentist's office, grabs the dentist by the balls and says, 'now, let's not hurt each other.' We do have a lot to lose and we and everybody else knows it. But what you need to understand is that we are willing to lose it."

Another thug.
I’m shocked, I tell you. This is so unlike Obama.
Like we should all be doing SURPRAHSE SURPRAHSE SURPRAHSE GOMER. No surprise!
I know. He's white.
we’ll see whose balls get mangled when we refuse to buy your cars
“well see whose balls get mangled when we refuse to buy your cars”
Exactly! I won’t be buying a GM product ever again or at least until all govt and union ownership is gone. This will likely never happen so as far as I’m concerned GM no longer exists, only the Peoples Socialist Car Company.
I will never buy another UAW car.
is anybody surprised?
Suprise. Not
That would, you know, require math and logic skills...
The czar concept may not have started with Obozo the Pretender but he has brought it to glorious fruition with well over 30 appointments so far.
The czar concept is an illegal end-run round the Constitution.
The czar concept concentrates power, some of which should be exercised by the other two branches of government into the hands of the Administration.
There is no oversight or accountability.
Where is the GOP on this matter? Peacefully acquiescing is my observation. This is a perfect example of the two party system ganging up on the voters and their proper government in order to grab power and become a de facto dictatorship.
Let us hope that Sarah is enough of an outsider to take them all on when her time comes.
Yep, from the same union that killed the steel industry. I speak from personal experience as my uncles belonged to the steel workers union. They worked for Bethlehem Steel in Johnstown Pa, and destroyed that plant with their contract demands, strikes, and working half days. Their buddies would punch the time clock for them on the way out at quitting time. They all laughed about it, but were to dumb to realize they were killing the golden goose. Same thing goes for the UAW.
Gee, what a surprise.
In other news, scientists discovered that water is still wet.
Do these thugs that 0bama is calling a Czar receive any Federal Funds and by what authority to they issue their edicts? I never heard of any legislation authorizing comrade 0bama to appoint or pay “Czars”. Comrade 0bama must have this Country mixed up with russia or maybe his native kenya.
They should make a deck of cards for the Czars, so that we might know them.
I used to hear stories about the Bethlahem Steel plant in Lackawanna, NY. My relatives would tell about the contests to see who could stay in the bathroom the longest.
I expected no less. I'm sure he'll be fair and impartial, unbiased. Yep.

Well, it sounds like he's a skilled, fair negotiator.
I miss Rattner already
LOL, I think we all do!
