New Hampshire uses $350M in stimulus money to create 50 new jobs
WTTK-FM (Boston) | 7/14/09

Heard this late this morning on a talk segment about Obama's enormous failure with the economy. New Hampshire has received $ 350 million in economic stimulus money. As a result, according to the radio, NH has created a grand total of 50 (fifty) new jobs, and 34 of THOSE are auditors for the stimulus program!

I have no further confirmation, but if this is symptomatic of Obamanomics, by next fall, the Dems will be in the crapper.

Let's see.....34 auditor jobs and 16 non-auditor jobs.

I guess each non-auditor has an auditor on his left side and one on his right side. Gotta catch that "fraud and abuse" ya know.

don't bet on that for one second...

They will use the negative numbers that they all knew would result from these policies to promote their agenda for spending more, taxing more, and regulating more.

Want to bet against them?

Lets see……they could have identified thousands of people that have been laid off at…say $50,000. Lets for the sake of argument assume each of these 50K positions cost their former employers $90,000 when factoring in overhead and benefits. So, NH could have used $350 million to pay over 3,800 people to go to their old jobs and sit around and do nothing for 8 hours a day for a year. No…but instead they “create” 50 jobs at $7 million apiece.

And these are the same morons that want to run health care?

God help us all.

$350 million for 50 jobs, that's our federal government at work. It makes me cringe when I think of the nightmare public health care will be if it's signed into law.

I am beginning to believe that it would have been far more effective (and cheaper) if they just gave us ALL $1 million each. Think of how THAT would stimulate the economy AND have less waste!! Go figure...

I am on the Family Children First Council in my county. In the financial reports presented, all local social agencies are receiving “stimulus funds” to keep them afloat. None of this money is for economic or employment stimulus.
It is strictly social entitlement program spending.

Although the principal would bother me greatly, if my math is right, the $800B Stimulus could have provided $20,000 for every black man, woman and child in the country. Nothing for the white folks.

But it would have taken Reparations off the table (at least, one would hope so), and it would have placed the stimulus cash right at street level where it would be spent and benefit local businesses.

As I say, the principal of Reparations irks me, but the Stimulus Bill as actually rendered is a complete loss.

Hmm. It looks like New Hampshire just maybe doing a better job with the stimulus money than Washington District of Corruption. heck this program only cost $700.00.00 per job. The Government Motors job saving cost US $756,000.00 per job.

I may just puke.

Hey stupid that was $350 million not $35 million.

This just expletive deleted.

This is costing every person in America about $2,600. That is over 10,000 for a family of four. But, our kids and grand kids are going to have to pay for this beast with interest.

The 16 non-auditor jobs were probably support staff for the 34 auditor jobs. Secretaries, HR, accountants payroll, Managers etc.

Do they have anything at all to audit but themselves? Will they have? How long?
