This is awful. Hopefully her father is still buried where he should be. I can’t believe how cruel people are here sometimes. If this was Palin’s father’s gravesite would we say the exact same thing....Oh better yet what if it was Ronald Reagan’s grave?????

Prosecutors said 200 to 300 bodies were dug up and dumped in an isolated, weedy area of a cemetery at which many prominent African-Americans are buried, including civil rights icon Emmett Till. Exposed bones, chunks of concrete and broken coffins litter the hilly, overgrown area about four blocks long, authorities said.

Sheriff Tom Dart said investigators, including dozens of FBI agents, would be at Burr Oak for months sorting through the discarded piles of bones. Not only were remains heaved into a "dump area" at the cemetery, bodies were allegedly double-buried in existing plots, Dart said.

"Literally, they were pounded [down]," he said. "They pounded the other [body] down and put someone on top."

Oh my Lord this is terrible. I feel so bad for those families. What a horrible thing to have happen. This is like that case someplace down South (I think?) where they were taking the money and basically dumping the bodies in the woods. That was a funeral home though I think.

This is a serious story and how anyone can feel anything but sympathy for the people involved, including the Obama family, is beyond me.

I don’t blame the familes for being upset. They paid for the plots and gravestones for their family members to RIP.

They took used plots and with different nefarious methods reused them again. Sounds like the "Obamas" are between a headstone and a hard place on this one. The occupation media spin should be entertaining.

Okay, that sign on the right is scary. Mr. Western’s body went missing SIX DAYS after being buried at Burr Oak? The news reports I’ve seen all said that the perps were “recycling” graves that were old and/or had not been visited recently. If that woman’s sign is for real, this problem is a lot bigger than we’ve been led to believe.

The perps are sick puppies. While this will take a long time for investigators to complete their jobs, I ponder why it took so long for the crime to be discovered?!? Wouldn’t the more recent burials, or current family members have noticed the desecration? Like michele obama’s family on memorial day? I don’t understand that part. Maybe I missed that part of the story.

I thought it was the older graves too. If the newer graves were violated, I’m shocked they weren’t discovered sooner.
