The White House on Monday said President Obama would consider asking Congress to delay the summer break if he hasn't seen sufficient progress on healthcare reform by the August recess.
Hours after Obama told reporters that he is "going to get this done," White House press secretary Robert Gibbs said that it is unlikely legislation will be finalized before the recess.

The House dems and Obama are justifiably scared sh!tless that if there isn’t a bill from the Senate at the time of the recess the thoroughly overpriced, underfunded and over rationed House bill will just be hanging out there with the GOP and any sane person picking it and its supporters apart.
It would be bloody since the House version will be the most extreme in both its politics and its programs.
This would all but doom it and the idiots behind this stake thru the heart of America power/money/control grab.

Funny you should mention that - this story reminds me of having to shove antibiotic capsules down my dog’s throat for the past two weeks. Gee, I hope Bambi doesn’t lose any fingers...

I guess asking them to put off the recess, is better than him just dismissing Congress and taking over.
The following is directed to Freepers who haven't donated or signed up for monthlies yet...

is good. 100% is better. You know you're going to do it. Pull the trigger! You don't have to pay it all now. $5 now, $25 next week, $10 later... keep the ball rolling.
Monthly donorship is a good way for us to avoid having to do the Freepathons. Besides, it's a great way to pony up in style.
If you're on the verge of becoming a monthly donor or you think you would like to up your monthly donation a bit, has Jim got a deal for you.
Check this out. There's an added incentive for a limited time only. (Always wanted to type that...)
Thanks to Freepers who have been frequenting the Freepathon thread to ham it up with folks over there. It helps to raise the visibility of the Freepathon.
Jump into the Monthly Donorship special thread too.
