What really happens when/if a State actually goes bankrupt?
Is it sold off to the highest bidder state or does it revert to a possession of the United States and lose its' representation in congress and its' electoral votes?

The problem with BK, as we have seen from the auto BKs, is that the Bankruptcy Code is now “inoperative” and none of its provisions constitute “binding legal precedent”. In other words, the Article I BK judges are afraid to enforce the law. Consequently, I don’t think BK would sort out CA’s financial mess.

If Arnie has decided to become the man in the ad, who would be better? If Arnie resigned you’d just get a worse lefty...I agree that the whole situation is ugly.

Wheww... Thank god for them! Otherwise, that butcher @ Camp Pendleton would've took my scalp too.

As Governor, who in the world is going to believe a word coming out of his mouth and work with him?
He took office as a hard charging Conservative, he became a big spending liberal constantly attacking the Republicans, and now he's back to who knows what and for how long?
I hate it when liberal do this... but it seems to me that Arnie has some very real mental problems.

I agree that it is a very big “if”, and Arnold has been a huge disappointment to me, even though I only began with very modest expectations. Still, I would like to see the unions have their heads served to them on a platter...

Living in a state without such thngs is unthinkable.
Hey, get with it. There is money to be made from these commissions and organizations. For 55 years I’ve gone from one to the next with a sob story designed to fit in with one of the programs these hundreds of commissions are involved with. Try it. Sooner or later you’ll hook into one that will give you a healthy monthly income for life. /s

Great idea. Maybe I should I start with the Commission on Transgendered Issues. Hmmm. Perhaps not. Scalpels make me nervous.

There’s a very good chance you’re right. I don’t know what receivership for CA would look like, but it would be a windfall to the O administratin - lots more power...

If scorched earth could be limited to LA, SF, and Sacramento, it would be a great thing..
