I can't help but find conflict in the idea that she quit to save money on investigations but also that she wants to make a run for the WH some day. If she does make a run for the WH, all these investigations are sure to come back up again and she'll have to spend the money anyway. I guess at least then it'll probably come out of campaign contributions? I would have thought it would have been better to answer each and every single charge against her. Then these investigations wouldn't be of much use as political fodder when the presidential campaign really kicks in.

meh, just my 2 cents.

What Sarah Palin realizes is that there has been a fundamental shift between the governed and the governing. The elites have always ruled this country but because of the Constitution, we dependent on the rest of us for legitimacy. With the leftist authoritarians taking contol of the democratic party, that has changed since these statist, in their elitism, have zero respect or tolerance for the individual let alone the classes of people that aren’t them. It’s nolonger a war between mian street and wall street, it’s a war between those who recognize individuality and individual rights and those who wish to supress them for power and control.

The charges are made up. They are harassment. You assume there’s some logic to all this and that these charges can be answered logically.

She’s squeaky clean. If they could nail her with something real, they would have. The media never connects the dots or impugns the motives of her attackers. That’s the first line of defense against anyone who questions a liberal.

All these 'investigations' were lawsuits (15 of them) and were dismissed. She now has a $500,000 legal bill to pay off. She can get this in spades in speaking fees (which she is now free to pursue) and also garner more for the GOP in the process.

All in all, a wise move on her part. She doesn't need to be Governor of anything to remain in the public eye. The Lamestream Media whores will see to that.

Think of it this way; When you get heavy flak...you know you're over the target.

I would have thought it would have been better to answer each and every single charge against her.

She HAS answered them, and is currently 15-0 in her favor with 4 more pending. It's cost her $500,000 personally and it's also cost the state of Alaska $1.9 million to process these ridiculous complaints because the law requires the state to take them seriously.

It was not gonna stop. I've seen estimates that it would cost the state $6-8 million more to fight off the Obama goons in the remaining 17 months of her term. She called it a waste of resources and she's right.

She broke for daylight to save her state from further waste and to save her from bankruptcy. Good for her. To be fair, there were other considerations in favor of her leaving office now. She wants to raise money for conservative candidates and speak out unshackled against what Obama is doing to the country. She could not do that from Alaska.
