American Industry: Saddle Up
Pajamas Media ^ | July 12 | Tristan Yates

Listen up, American industry. We are not in a recession or economic slowdown.

This is a full-blown financial and economic collapse brought about by years of public mismanagement. The government created the subprime mortgage problem and has done everything it can to make the situation worse. We’re the only ones that can get us out of this mess, and it’s past time for us to act.

Here’s what we need to do.

First, stand up for the private sector. We’re sick of being the whipping boy for politicians, unions, NGOs, and other interest groups only to be later hit up for donations when their funds run low. Our firms serve paying customers, individuals and organizations with real choices in the marketplace. If we are successful, we create far more wealth for others via jobs, investments, and tax collections then we ever see ourselves.

The reality is that the private sector works. Even in this crisis we’re in, Americans can still buy food, energy, medication, entertainment, communication, transportation, and everything else they need to get through the day. That’s despite the tens of thousands of pages of new legislation that is dumped on us every year by the thousands of government officials standing between us and our customers, suppliers, investors, and employees.....

By the time NObama and Government Motors shoves an abomination of a ‘car’ down our throats, “SADDLE UP” will be more appropriate that this author intended, IMO.

“Saddle Up”

Yeah — ‘saddle up’ and ride off into that (offshore) sunset...

We will live to see the day when “BUY AMERICAN” goes from ‘rallying cry’ to ‘wry joke’....

Naw, couldn’t be. Who in their right mind would work toward their own destruction?

No sale. We need new leadership in politics, business and academia. See you on the other side of the shuffle.

Let us think for a minute. Bill Clinton, GWB, Barack Obama, John McCain, Hillary Clinton, Colin Powell, etc. Not one of them, not one has ever had an executive position in private enterprise. Government weenies run our government, and ran the government of the Soviet Union. There is NO understanding of what competitive enterprise is about, or its potency.

Every service, absolutely every service, except maybe national defense, and the court system, would be better served, more responsive, more efficient, more creative, more productive, even more honest (due to competition) than anything offered by indolent government bureaucracy,

That is exactly why the US was once the industrial leader of the world.

That is not to say there are not scoundrels in private industry, but, they do not have police authority over citizens, and sooner or later must always face reality because of competition. (Except of course when BO bails them out).

It is the lazy, indolent, incompetent, spoiled, and dull, who are the Left, and need police extortion (gov't) to survive. The Soviet Union was the overwhelming evidence. Any individual, absolutely any individual, politician, black, jew, native american, white, etc. in the US who claims they are impoverished by prejudice is an outright self serving scumball who needs to blame others for their lack of initiative.

That historical bombshell is why we at the Suntrade Institute accuse the older folks more than the young. The latter (who never knew the USSR) are just plain naive, but the former are clearly self serving in the face of the lessons that were presented to them.
