Cap-And-Trade Bill Ineffective
Human Events ^ | July 13, 2009 | Kathyrn Gaines

Posted on 07/13/2009 7:54:06 AM PDT by WhiteCastle

House Democratic leaders must be in a state of shock. The EPA announced that the Waxman-Markey Bill, the cap-and-trade bill, would not “materially effect global carbon concentrations in the atmosphere.” Why then are Americans being asked to take on $9 trillion ($9,000,000,000,000) worth of spending from 2012-2050 for nothing? Sen. Inhofe (R - Okla.) said “that unilateral action by the U.S. will be all cost for no climate gain…. acting alone through the job-killing Waxman-Markey bill would impose severe economic burdens on American consumers, businesses, and families, all without any impact on climate.”

inhoffe can sqauk all he wants- present all the facts he wants, and present al lthe scientists who prove that man is not responsible for climate change- but the obama administration IS goign to mandate cap and trade, and there’s not a %^%^ thign we can do about it- Inhoffe and Marc Morano have been sounding hte alarm for decades now that we ARe NOT responsible for climate change, and has provided scientific evidences proving we are not- but the administrations and the dems simply ignore him and ARE GOING TO pilfer the American public for every last red cent we have to ‘fix’ a ‘problem’ that we’re NOT responsible for andhwich infact is NO problem at all

Prepare to be fleeced America- it’s coming, and htere’s not a thing you can do to stop it! The greed of the dems is just too powerful to stop

I am troubled by Inhofe's assumption that ANY amount of money will 'change the climate'. The entire premise of global-warming-cooling-change based on human behavior needs to be dismissed as utter foolishness.

When your goal is to destroy free markets and capitalism and create a socialist slave state controlled by the ‘vanguard of the proletariat’ in DC, it’s pretty damned effective.

The Cap’n Traitors know very well, first of all, that CO2 levels controllable by human activity have no demonstrable effect on climate, second, that all human life could cease and it would have no effect on climate, third, that climate change is a scare tactic to usher in global totalitarian marxism. The cure for environmental fraud is to remove environmental activism from the political debate.

Could a future Congress pass legislation that would negate some of the measures from this bill that are delayed for later years? Sounds as though it would be a good campaign issue for conservatives running for Congress in 2010.

[[Sounds as though it would be a good campaign issue for conservatives running for Congress in 2010.]]

I’m losing faith in the GOP- seems liek they are just rolling over and letting hte4 dems walk all over them- We have tax cheats that were elected by obama and which the GOP barely made a squak about, a racist judge going to be nominated without a problem because hte Repubs don’t want to ‘seem mean-spiritted’ on and on it goes- The GOP should be soundign hte alarm about things like cap-n-trade, higher taxes, overspending, pointing out the fact that bills 1000’s of pages are rushed through without anyone knowing what they are voting on, pointing out some appointees are one world global government advocates etc etc etc- and they hsould be soundign htese alarms every sin gle day so the public KNOWS what’s really going on, but the GOP just seems liek htey’ve lost their spine-

I hope we win back the presidency, but I don’t like what I’m seeing or hearing- or more prcisely, what I’m not hearing from the GOP

That’s one reason I’m looking forward to July 27th. I think that Sarah Palin, who is definitely NOT beholden to the GOP, can get out there and make voters aware of the issues in a unique way. She’ll certainly light a fire under conservative voters who aren’t seeing their interests put forward by the GOP, and maybe put some fear into the Republican establishment.

boy I sure hope she does- the GOP has been losing ground steadily because of their fear of speaking u- even htis Sotamator issue they are afraid of hammering her for her blatant racism and they are allowing her to get away with flip flopping on issues when she should be ruling by hte book- but instead, she’s goign to be nominated- whereas IF she was a republican, there would be no way on earth she’d get elected because hte dems and mainstream media would be relentless i ntheir attacks- The GOP is afraid of ‘voter reaction’ if they come out and tell the TRUTH about her flip flopping, and her making law, instead of ruling by the law- but many will vote for her simply because they want ot retain the hisdpanic and women vote

I don’t advocate for another party- a third party, and iwll always remain a Repub- but my goodness- they have lost hteir political spins it seems

[[Is that not why God granted us a Second Ammendment?...]]

You mean the same constitution that hte Dems are tearing down?

I don’t htink the American public will have the guts to revolt, and will simply go along with hte assaults on our freedoms by hte dems- not wanting to stir hte pot and risk ‘breaking hte new laws’ that the obama admin puts inplace which trample all over our constitutional rights- Oh- there might be a few incidents, which the media will harp about the ‘fringe far right criminals who are antigovernment’ and will make any small uprisings look like David Koresh nutjobs/criminals, but most people are just ‘too comfortable’ to mount anythign seriously challenging our government- even while our own government is fleecing us blind broke. We’ll just roll over and take it- write in blogs about the assaults on our freedoms, Fox news will devote a few minutes to the assaultso n freedoms, Rush Limbaugh will rail on about hte assaults, Glen Beck will too, and it will all amount to nothing really- the government will continue to steamroll us because they know they can and that we’ll not mount any effective defense. Those who attempt to rise up and defend our constutional rights will be immediately branded as enemies of hte state, and we’ll see a few more cases like Ruby Ridge happen, and that will be the end of it- people will slink back into our cages with our tails tucked undrneath ourselves
