Right off I would assume she witnessed something inadvertantly, and was murdered to shut her up. If that was the case, killing her immediately would have been safer. No, I think she was raped and then murdered.

She had complained to her supervisor about a co-worker following her around and making suggestive comments.
He was moved off her floor but she told her family she saw him lurking again one night recently.
Poor woman. Even if he was fired or she quit, sooner or later that nutball would have gotten her.
