The ghetto comments and the one about the street whore - those are behavioral comments. It’s not fair to brand them racist, they are about actions. Ghetto behavior is not exclusively black, nor is it practiced by all blacks, not even a large percent of them. Referencing ghetto is saying that someone’s behavior is inappropriate. And many felt that having the chlld wear an inflammatory symbol (yes, it’s inflammatory) in an international situation was inappropriate. These comments also seem to reflect a growing frustration about the absolute cluelessness of this administration to International protocol and respect. Another reason for the ghetto reference. (They don’t know how to act in public.) The comment about abortion - Obama is militantly pro-abortion, has said he doesn’t want his daughters “punished with a baby.” It was simply a response to what is known about the Obamas. We must also remember that much of this is in response to the ridiculous media fawning over Michelle (fashion icon) and the girls and how crazy it seems to the rest of us. (For the record - I don’t know which of the daughters is the older one, but in the pictures from the last few days, she is turning into a stunning beauty. And dressing much better than her mother. I hope she will be able to keep a level head on her with all the craziness swirling around her, she’s just adorable.)

The one about Michelle and the monkey - that’s gross. I don’t know where it came from, but wasn’t there something about a monkey awhile back that had absolutely no racist connotations? It’s so unfortunate that EVERYTHING is now considered racist, and people who never harbored a racist thought in their lives are being called on the carpet. No wonder they’re frustrated. As Eddy Raven said, Desperate People Do Desperate Things.

Our “post-racial” President has done more to harm racial relations than anyone I can think of. All the progress that has been made seems to have been reversed, and then some. The whole point of the Civil Rights Movememt was for everyone to compete on a level playing field. Yet when we finally got this guy, (who shares none of the history of American blacks) every time anyone criticized him it was, and still is, “racist.” But you can’t have it both ways. You either want to get out there and compete with everyone else (which means you have to take the same criticisms) or you want special privileges. But you can’t have both.

So true. Something that use to be said a lot years ago (that you probably would be thrown in jail by the PC police now!) was the phrase "live like a white man"...don't know where it came from originally but what it came to mean was to have a nice house...nice car...dress nice and overall be classy. Obviously not all "white men" live like that, any more than all black people are ghetto . One of the most "ghetto" friends I know is whiter than the driven snow!
