Well, should've seen this coming: conservative blog Free Republic fired hate speech off at Malia Obama after this photo of her appeared, letting their commenters go to town. But the journalist who reported this as news isn't innocent, either.
Chris Parry of The Vancouver Sun highlighted some of the comments on the mainstream, hard right-wing blog/news aggregator Free Republic. Among them, a picture of Michelle talking to Malia Obama with the caption: "To entertain her daughter, Michelle Obama loves to make monkey sounds." Classy. These mouthbreathing, borderline morons then kept piled on:
"A typical street whore." "A bunch of ghetto thugs." "Ghetto street trash." "Wonder when she will get her first abortion. "Could you imagine what world leaders must be thinking seeing this kind of street trash and that we paid for this kind of street ghetto trash to go over there?" wrote one commenter. "They make me sick .... The whole family... mammy, pappy, the free loadin' mammy-in-law, the misguided chillin', and especially 'lil cuz... This is not the America I want representin' my peeps," wrote another. Such was the onslaught of derision on the site that the person who originally complained about the slurs, a Kristin N., claims only one comment in the first hundred posted actually criticized the remarks as inappropriate.
FreeRepublic claims to be a site that "does not advocate or condone racism, violence, rebellion, secession, or an overthrow of the government." Yet, the thread went down, and back up with the original comments in tact, and then some, notes Chris Parry, the story's writer. Parry was careful and kind enough to - maybe unnecessarily - note the few reasonable voices in the crowd who were conservative, on Free Republic, and not racist. But there're always going to be a few exceptions to the rule, which, as far as you should be concerned, are absolute swamp creatures. Pardon any political incorrectness, but I think you'll agree if you happen to go over and dip your toe in what's mostly a bog of contagiously slimy invective and general retardation.
It gets worse, though. Chris Parry, it appears, has advocated on his Daily Kos blog any number of egregious offenses, among them: posting hate speech on sites like Free Republic and blaming it on conservatives. Parry posted under the name "hollywoodoz" on Daily Kos, where his signature was "Fool me once, I'll punch you in the fucking head." Parry outed himself as hollywoodoz here, where he discloses the company he helped start. In essence: Parry, the journalist, found his story right where he'd been circling it for a very long time, and reported it as news. Sigh.
Bottom line: Parry's noble intentions are paving him a road to hell, by taking the same one the slimeball majority at Free Republic employs. They're probably going to cheer a "mainstream," centrist blog pointing out the offenses of a liberal reporter trying to expose hate speech, but they shouldn't get it mixed up. A quick glance at Free Republic and you'll probably see the same thing I did: some of the most egregious examples that lend credence to the idea that some people just shouldn't be allowed near a keyboard, or to open their mouths, no matter what their political affiliation. Or, as some would have it: STFU.
I saw a picture of the shirt. I’m not surprised that some would consider the peace symbol on the shirt to be inflamatory.
I agree with you that the shirt was innapropriate - this opinion having nothing to do with the child wearing the shirt.
I hope you realize that, historically, every time leftists attained power, they used the state to punish and exterminate their ideological opposition.
IIRC, he became increasingly angry at how FR was being run, was eventually banned (or maybe he Opused, I can’t remember), and rumor had it that he started his own website that just detailed supposed abuses by FR.

It happened, but keep in mind the dirtbag Obamas set up a child to be a political billboard. Not the kids fault, but still a provocation.
But this time around, the leftists in power in the USA this time could over extend themselves and create opportunities for blowback.

The thing that offends them the most is probably the name, Free-Republic -- they see that very concept as unacceptable and obscene.
Caption articles can help alleviate the stress of seeing articles about Obambi tearing down the nation for purposes of rebuilding it for his oligarchian handlers (or, at least that's a theory...), day in, day out.
Someone described the "spiral of silence" whereby good people are knocked down, knocked down, over and over, until the silence begins...PC is about just that. Keep the "acceptable" language as a moving target, to the point where everyone is afraid to speak up.
We’re in it real deep. If you’re Caucasian (or perceived as such) an criticism you make will be painted as RASCIST. As a “racist” you will be prosecuted under new hate crime laws. Holder and company have the plans in the works.

It is worth checking out that thread in order to see whether hollywoodoz posted some of the offensive comments under another name.
Got to remember that they know,(Alinksy-ism),the we are according to one recent survery, 40% of the country, and maybe even more, so they know they will try to step up the attacks because they EXPECT blowback down the road.
I love this site! You folks keep me going with all the humorous comments. This site has better commentaries on the news than the Fox Network. I can’t believe anyone here who is a “True FR’r” emphasis on True, would ever say anything derogatory in regard to race, religion or nationality. Notice? I left out sex. Sometimes we do get carried away in the humor department and sometimes under various political circumstances we have to control our anger. (I know that from being thrown off another conservative site, I was heavily medicated at the time.)
They will then plant the seeds for CW2 to become a REALITY.
Nothing ever written on this website comes even close to the hate filled slurs aimed at the Palin Family, including their young children. Especially ugly were the comments by the msm against baby Trigg.
And then there was all the constant hate mongering against President GW Bush.
These whiners need to give it a rest.
Big Brother had the sense to disarm the people before imposing thought crime laws.
The left pulled a major coup when they created “protected classes”.
That way, they can demonize any criticism of these groups, AND then use members of those groups as spokesmen.

There are likely more than a few. Chris Parry proves the concept. He's just one of the only stealth Kos agents to get busted so far.
I still don’t get the gyst of this Parry guy. I know that he wrote the editorial in the Vancouver paper smearing FR as a hate site. He is also a liberal jerk who posts filth filled posts on lefty web sites. But, did he, under cover of screen names post the trashy comments about Obama’s kids?
The truth is the comments cited in this article are beyond the pale and beneath FR. They really are racist. If he posted them, he should be hounded and outed. If they were posted by Freepers, they should be banned because they truly are offensive.
