The Rasmussen Reports daily Presidential Tracking Poll for Sunday shows that 28% of the nation's voters now Strongly Approve of the way that Barack Obama is performing his role as President. Thirty-five percent (35%) Strongly Disapprove giving Obama a Presidential Approval Index rating of –7 (see trends).

Check out our review of last week’s key polls to see “What They Told Us.”

The Presidential Approval Index is calculated by subtracting the number who Strongly Disapprove from the number who Strongly Approve. It is updated daily at 9:30 a.m. Eastern (sign up for free daily e-mail update). Updates also available on Twitter.

Overall, 52% of voters say they at least somewhat approve of the President's performance. Forty-six percent (46%) disapprove

MSNBC put July 9, that: "Obama approval high; confidence slips"...Obama's Job Rating slips 15 pts..

The Beaufort Observer writes: "Obama approval index falls to the lowest level ever, and investors negative toward the economy results suggest he is losing the approval of those who voted for him."

Congress approval rating Rasmussen: Monday, June 27-28, 2009. "Just 18% of U.S. voters now say Congress is doing a good or excellent job, down from 23% in May. Forty-seven percent (47%) now say Congress is doing a poor job."

"The political division of opinion is little changed. Seventy-one percent (71%) of Republicans and 56% of voters not affiliated with either major political party rate Congress’ performance as poor, compared to just 21% of Democrats."

"The survey was conducted on the two day following House passage of a controversial climate control bill"

On the newest controversy over Congress vs the CIA; and more appropriately called the witch hunt of Dick Cheney, I would most enjoy a poll on the CIA's job approval by Americans.

After 9/11 Has the CIA Helped Keep America Safe?

Compare that to the low approval ratings and/or lack of confidence in Congress, where little has changed. This could send a big message to Congress. One might ask if Leon Panetta is the right person for the job. Could Panetta's actions & those of Congress return us to a pre 9/11 world in regard to national security?

"Congress still carries out its oversight of the Intelligence Community largely in a reactive mode. While today’s oversight committees are far more aware of what the CIA is doing (as they appropriate the money) than their predecessors were": L. Britt Snider served as CIA Inspector General and General Counsel of the Senate Select Committee on Intelligence. The CIA and Congress: The Untold Story.

I’m still waiting for a journalist to ask Barack Obama how he’s going to “heal” a deeply divided country. After all, that seemed to be the requisite question for Bush, even when his approval numbers were higher than Obama’s are now. People forget, for the first 4.5 years of Bush’s tenure, his approval rating averaged well over 52%.

If the magic negro has Holder probe "Bush Crimes" there is likely to be Civil War. That doesn't necessarily mean the imbeciles in the MSM will report it, or even pick up on it, but it would certainly beg the question.

It’s been my experience in personal conversations that Democrats - at least this new brand which does no service to the old Dems - don’t understand that they actually gained the majority in 2006 because people voted in....change.

In fact, this is the third year they’ve been in charge and you can see how that’s working out.

Were I the haloed one I would be much more concerned with the drop in the strongly approve numbers than in the negative gap. 48% of the voters voted against Obama so an average of 35% strongly disapproving is not hard to understand, but his strongly approve are closer to 1 in 4 and that's not a strong indicator of the future.

As Obama likes to cozy up to dictator types we might expect him to employ that oldest of dictator methods, the straw man. Chavez, Achmadinejad, and Putin employ this usung the US as the boogie man. Given yesterday's headlines about Holder I expect Bush and Cheney to be featured daily in an attempt to distract America from the unfolding devastation of their economy and liberty.

Hearing will destroy them because it gives us another point to beat them with, wasting millions of our tax dollars while they do NOTHING about the economy. If they want to walk that path it is at their own peril!

Actually IMO the MSM will cause the next civil or revolutionary war in our country by their passivity in the face of government tyranny and injustice.
