OUTSTANDING post, Neil. You’ve been around a long time with great posts and you don’t post as much as you used to.
Thanks for this one.
OUTSTANDING post, Neil.
(through Part 1, 21:01)
Thanks for posting. I watched the first video — it’s what I remember being taught in grade school in the late 50s and early 60s. The comments on the site are really snarky and anti-american, pro-commie — very sad. Obviously kids today are not taught what we were so long ago.
I only wish that these old films were shown in our childrens' classrooms of today. Since that is unlikely to happen, then what to do? Seriously, what to do?
Peaceful benign marches; protests; demonstrations have done what? There was a time that such efforts could make a difference. Now that so many of Americans want "stuff", such efforts may be for naught, IMHO.
Have we Constitutionalists become so afraid to make a stand regarding simple civil disobedience while allowing the Marxists to advance THEIR agenda through civil disobedience? When did we become so weak? Do we Constitutionalists simply slide into the fog of history? Do the Utopians finally win by default?
How far are you and others willing to go? I'm willing. I'm just waiting for some real leadership. TEA Parties are not leadership. They are "feel good" demonstrations waving the flag. We need more, much more.
I actually offered to pay the bail and fines for 20 people who would sit down and dare the authorities to arrest them for their right to Assembly during the July 4th Tea Parties. I got NO response and no one even tried. And no, I couldn't get to their large events, and there was nothing here locally or I would have chained myself to a lamp post!
Democracies only last so long...and that is what our Nation has become. We are no longer a Constitutional Republic. So what next? Do you, or JR, or Bob J, or anyone else have an answer? Probably not, because none of you are willing to get out ahead of the encroaching marxism and risk your livelihoods. I am, and my SO, which you few know personally, supports me.
I am one of those few people on this board who have a LOT to lose and I am willing to lose it all to assure my Country remains strong and our Constitutional principles persevere.
I'm willing to go back working in a car-wash, or washing dishes, or working in a widget factory at minimum wage to ensure the continuation of our Constitutional heritage and liberties guaranteed therein. Been there; done that. I have lived in garages and cars and worked my ass off in the US Navy and would do it all over again even at my late age. What about you? What would you do?
What is the United States of America worth to you? Make your decision soonest, because we are at a crossroads.
Sorry, bud. I know what the US means to you. That was worded wrong and meant for the generic public "you".
Through part II (14:53)
OUTSTANDING post BUMP!
Talk your O'Reilly/Hannity/Rush talk, and by all means, don't bother to walk the walk. You guys just keep on keeping on with your useless peaceful demonstrations and then go home and wonder why our Republic is dissolving by the day.
Oh wait, maybe you can make a big point on the Glen Beck sponsored "9/11 Project" coming in September. Maybe THAT demonstration/protest will get some attention unlike the April 15th and the July 4th rallies (yeah, right). If that doesn't work, I'm sure there will be another "feel good" event by the end of this year. Feel free to waste your time and resources. The Obambi, Reid, Pelosi triad are not listening.
The socialist libs and their MSM buds will just ignore you as always in your protests. Do your know why? Because "if it bleeds, it leads". But the same could go for a large scale "civil disobedience" effort. The MSM may spin and parse it, but they couldn't ignore it. IT WOULD GET THE ATTENTION OF MANY OF THE FENCE-SITTERS!
But no, wave your flags and hope beyond hope that you can use the ballot box to re-install Republicans (RINOs mostly) back in power.
Enjoy your chains girls and girly men. It's coming because you refuse to make a stand. I'm ashamed of many of you at this point. It will be YOUR fault, and your fault alone, once we pass the point of no return into Marxism. And you know why, because you simply will not just sit down, and tell the Fedgov to stick it. I'm so ashamed of you guys, and you all know who I'm talking about.
